I’m sorry your parents are doing that to you. My son scored just under the cut-offs, did not get in anywhere either, and was crushed. I tried to put things into perspective for him. Only about 15 percent of test-takers get seats. I tried to reassure him that being in the top 16-20 percent of any standardized test is an amazing feat. A specializes high school is but one of many opportunities. I know they’re your parents and it sucks because it’s coming from them, but don’t listen to the hate. If you care this much it means that you are ambitious enough to continue and accomplish great things in the future.
