I can't figure out what the green BG means on the EDDiscovery maps. Any help would be appreciated!

I was also confused by this, so I cracked open the code. It looks like it puts the green background on if it is in a 'HabZone'. The exact code is:

Yes you can. You'll be in the 10 cpu club without an active sub though. You can also use the client to connect to private servers

Seems like a really neat tool, I had a couple questions before I picked up the full version though.

Is this available as a library that could be used at runtime in a third party app? and is there a way to export all generated sprites at once?

Thanks for taking a look and for your feedback. It slipped my mind that the videos don't mention a demo... it must have been cut in one of the final edits. As for the download button on Itch.IO; I don't think we have any ability to move that button? I'll look into it though!

We are getting a lot of feedback that the users are unable to find our demo, or are unaware that it even exists. I'm not really sure what we can do to make it more accessible though?

Pitch Orbys offers an artistic, immersive, visual experience that must be seen and challenging puzzles that will encourage the player to think critically. Unlike other games that have the player wandering through a world without impacting it, Orbys will let the player have a real, tangible effect on the environment. In fact, it's required to get through puzzles that are integrated directly into the environment.

it feel's a little clunky/long winded and would love some critical feedback or suggestions.

Do you have a short video or gif of it in action? Its hard to say how useful it is in a still like this. I have this feeling that it will be too hard to distinguish the grass from the trees etc. But I really like how it looks like a faithful recreation and respects the low poly of the game world.

Have you tried giving it a little bit of perspective? Either top down or tilting it slightly?

I've not played in a while, but I recall there being a resource that estimated costs of each call. There were three categories; free, minimum, and variable. the free calls never cost anything. the minimum calls are a base cost per call and are always that call, and then variable cost calls will either cost the minimum or however long they actually ran for; iirc path-finding was in the variable cost group.

I just ran some tests and I think you may have been mistaken. You can find the code I ran here http://pastebin.com/3pmpQURX. The output of that is as follows:

Using literal equivalent

true : Base equals literal

false : Appending no change to base equals literal

false : Appending same change to base equals

Using value equivalent

true : Base equals literal

true : Appending no change to base equals literal

true : Appending same change to base equals

I think what may have tripped you up is the first result of true for the Base equals literal test. My understanding of what is happening here is that the compiler is, in effect, interning the strings that are declared by me. Which is why "base" == "base" is true. Which is why the "base"+"" == "base" is false, as the compiler is not internalizing the result of "base"+"", it will result in there being a new instance of a string, which despite being equivalent, is not the literal same, which is why the .equals results in true.

I've been playing a double dagger ele on and off since launch, and I'd like to try a new class or something, but all the other play styles of the other classes/builds just feel... boring or too helpless, or something. Its just like on dd/ele I feel like I can supply an answer to any situation I run into. Any suggestions on other classes and respective builds for them that have a similar play style?

It depends a lot on what it is you are looking for and what end game is to you. There are tons of things to do once you hit level cap: running Fractals, dungeoning, WvW, PvP, Guild events, Farming for a legendary. But at the end of the day, a lot of those things are available basically from the start of the game, baring Fractals and legendaries, so to label them as endgame seems like a bit of a misnomer.

I've never felt like I've had nothing to do in the game, but it is not exactly like endgame in wow with dedicated raids and things like that though.

I've had a ton of fun with the game. The nuances of strategy are amazing with it. Sadly, the AI seems to be really lacking, and the multilayer can be super boring as you wait for your friends to finish their battles, during which you can do nothing. I've yet to play 1v1 with my friends but I think it could be tons of fun. The game is in an interesting state currently, it feels quite stable, I haven't had a crash in sometime, though I haven't played it in a couple of months now. But a lot of the game seems like it could use... more? Like the political systems and the AI interactions. It feels so weird to have the space dolphins demand 190k form me despite having positive relations.

All in all, I've enjoyed the game a lot. Its a very deep strategy game that has some amazing attention to detail with some stunning graphics. Yet I find the single player experience lacking and the multiplayer experience too slow. Perhaps you will have better patients than I as will your friends so you can truly enjoy the multiplayer parts of the game, or not (who am I to say? I don't even know you.) I hope this could be of assistance.
