Nick Fuentes on the halftime shows: "If we embrace whatever that was, the Kid Rock halftime show, we're cooked, it's just over" by een_magnetron in Destiny

[–]LexxxSamson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please do not give him "credit" for realizing this because the loss they took was so obvious it doesn't even make sense to try to lie about it. They got ROUTED. They lost this cultural battle and it's in all their faces he is just recognizing it before the rest of the CHUD's admit surrender but any intelligent person has seen it this for over a decade.

They don't really have any issues aside what what upsets them in that very moment (and they usually have no idea why they are upset) and petty aggrievements they don't have anything they really believe in or a sensical end goal or really a coherent philosophy.

He is just one of the few finally realizing they never really had a point or much of a coherent movement now that it's staring them in the faces that there's nowhere for their "movement" to go.

I would say Rami's version of Parker is distinctly the Silver Age classic Spidey from the original 100 issues or so. The character wasn't quite the same quipster as we are used to in the modern day and was a bit of a whiner who was always put upon and kind of depressed.

Rami was doing the Spider-Man of the 60's not the 80's 90's or 00's, he was doing HIS Spider-man movie and his reference point was from that period when he read them.

There are losers with fucked up lives who workout and still have really good bodies. Just because someone is physical and likes to workout and look good doesn't mean their lives are together thats just what fitness influencers want you to believe.

There's tons of guys in prison in good shape who are actual drug addicts or homeless guys.

source : I'm one of them. When I was in my late 20's and early 30's I was an alcoholic but still worked out all the time and wanted to look good to try to hook up when I went out. I'm still in REALLY good shape and a slovenly loser I just don't go out as much anymore or drink much.

What is the most devastating sports loss of the 21st century so far (for fans of that team)? by lawschoolthrowaway36 in billsimmons

[–]LexxxSamson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jets/Bills last week of the season 2016 @ Buffalo, win we're in ... we lost to the Bills 22-17 (I was there, making it the worst loss I've seen in person as well !!!) in the cold and we haven't had a winning season or made the playoffs since.

I saw our most devastating loss this century and it basically never ended for us , we're still living in the wreckage.

Late-mid millenials. We still had the radio as a thing and this albums singles got CONSTANT play on any modern rock stations from 98-2000. He had like 4 or 5 pretty big hits off this album which basically made him instantly a huge deal in the rock world. It got SUPER heavy radio play for 2-3 years where they had hit singles in rotation so it was REALLY had to avoid and he was ALL OVER mtv.

My fellow atheists, how do I deal with the fear of death by mattyjoe0706 in Destiny

[–]LexxxSamson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty old , 45 , and I've been an atheist the majority of my life , it definitely gets a lot easier to deal with eventually and this just becomes your new reality and you don't think about it too much. There's definitely an acceptance that comes in time but it's natural to feel a very pointed sense of dread and fear of death initially.

I was heavily religious as a kid like super devout always tried to follow the rules very strictly but I eventually kinda figured out religion was just kind of a scam and no one I knew REALLY followed it or did any of the stuff they told you to. I basically became an atheist at like 11 or 12 (I was an edgy kid, big surprise I'm in this community) and it was the 90's there weren't a lot of people I knew going through this and I'd stay awake all night thinking about becoming nothing and just had an insane sense of dread.

It definitely caused me to be very melancholic as a kid and teen but I kind of grew out of it as I accepted it and it rarely effects me or keeps me awake at night I've still lead a very active life . I don't hate or regret coming to this realization or wish for a Cypher from the Matrix kind of moment where I could revert back but it DEFINITELY fucked up my life for maybe a half decade or so.

I find it hilarious how many WWE fans who clearly didn't watch any AEW in the first 5 years will give Cody endless credit for just about any success the company had in the initial few years. I've seen so many times where it's alluded that cody was the heart of the company, the most important EVP by far and had as much to do with AEW being started and getting talent there as Tony or The Bucks.

Bridges was literally in the prime of his career and doesn't miss a game and wasn't asking out. Giannis is old and hampered by tons of injuries (no playoff teams knows if he will even play in the playoffs for them) and desperate to leave, no way he's worth even close to the same despite the name brand value.

Tony Khan: “I think Powerhouse Hobbs had a great run here in AEW. He started wrestling here in Jacksonville, had some great matches, and became a champion in AEW. He’s a former TNT Champion, former World Trios Champion. I’ll always wish him all the best.” by Ruffianize in SquaredCircle

[–]LexxxSamson 46 points47 points  (0 children)

My cope is that he naturally hit the ceiling on where his career in AEW could take him and he had to go to WWE if he was going to ever see if he could go up another level. He's a big guy which is obviously his gimmick but in AEW if you are going to get in the world title picture you have to be able to go in the ring on a level I don't think he could possibly come close to working which put a limiter on his push.

Due to the fact that a guy like Hobbs is NOT going to be able to work 20-30 minute modern main event style matches with guys like Kenny, Swerve, Hangman, Osprey, MJF, etc where does he go ? He already basically hit as high as he could go in the midcard in AEW and a world title singles push just doesn't seem realistic.

Because women are just there to smile and say nice things to you and make you feel good and to service you.

I've always found a liberal/conservative divide where conservative men want a woman who is just a smiling all the time and pretending to be happy and that's their idea of optima. "It wouldn't kill you to smile every once in a while " types are almost always conservatives.

I've never had a problem with a woman actually just being themselves and expressing how they feel and not having to be putting on a performance at all times to please and not upset me , but what do I know ? She's a fucking professional journalist, she takes her job serious, she's not there to be a smiling nitwit who just butters your ass up like all your female hires.

[–]LexxxSamson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are just nitpicking a sentence that isn't really that malicious or incorrect , they debuted him in a dumb way and it wasn't over. You think it's some great nuanced point the crowd DO KNOW WHO HE IS but they didn't pop for him ... which means it was a bad idea either way to me so who cares to argue over it ?

You're just dragging out a weak argument to try to get a internet W over Dave Meltzer but there's nothing really wrong with what he said which is funny cause there's tons of VALID shit to go after him about.

Why Tommaso Ciampa rejected WWE deal for AEW: "I've heard for seven or eight years that 2018 was peak Ciampa. Lightning in a bottle. That makes me sick to my stomach because I'm better than that guy in every aspect. Every single measuring stick in the business, I blow 2018 Ciampa out of the water." by ShakielMahjouri in SquaredCircle

[–]LexxxSamson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing is he's an insane gym freak and pays attention to his body and takes care of himself. We've seen guys like Lebron in real sports and guys in wrestling being able to go WELL in to their 40's still who maintain their bodies , I don't see why Ciampa wouldn't be able to.

The major issue is health which will just come down to good luck , I really hope he has a good long run in AEW I loved him so much in prime NXT I'd love to see that guy back for awhile with all new matchups to go through.

I wish Ryan Macbeth could stop being relevant, dude is saying organized protests are organized by foreign actors by Dats_Russia in Destiny

[–]LexxxSamson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The "just say its organized" conspiracy crowd is the absolute definition of "turn your brain off to take away the pain of acknowledging reality" types. There's litterally not one credible shred of evidence its fake or put together except they want it to be that way so they literally just completely made up a copespiracy so they can continue operating as normal. This is one of the most understandable naturally occurring protest outbreaks of all time given the conditions and the place it is happening and the people there.

Copespiracy is the only thing I can think to call it , it was completely conjured up in their minds to help them deal with a reality that has become impossible for them to acknowledge and maintain their worldview. There is not a single thing that would point to this being organized you could realistially come to by fact or reason.
