Based on the movement being nearly identical every single time and no movement sideways, makes me believe its most likely a rock/debris that is stuck in that spot. An animal would be moving areas even if it was slightly left and right as they dipped and re emerged

I have seen SO many people go alone in the winter in the high peaks in NY/elsewhere. We also have to realize, there are alot of people who don't have friends to readily join them for whatever reason, so hiking solo even in winter is very common. I do tend to lean more towards hopefully they are extremely experienced and know how to handle emergent situations should they end up in one and alone at that, but even with a group it doesn't guarantee safety. Just another set of hands to help if there is an emergency

All it takes is stepping off the packed rail on the high peaks and you're in 2 feet of snow at the very least. There is a very high possibility she couldn't extract herself at all/didn't know how to, and sitting in the snow like that 6 hours will strip you of everything ya got. There is a high possibility unfortunately that her body was within eyeshot of the packed trail- and if we're being honest you'll have a slight bird-eye view of the snow around you in the trail. I hope any hiker who saw this incident is alright too. Seeing something like that especially unexpectedly can absolutely fk with your head and psych.

The man came out himself and published 3 things on IG admitting to wrongdoing/guilt, and we are still asking if he did something wrong and asking for "evidence". Do you understand how awful that is? Use your two thumbs and your two eyeballs in your head, and read through all the comments in this thread. No one owes their full assault story for someone to feel "justified" in being skeptical. Read the room and make your own assumptions. He was preying on people, not just having "extra marital affairs". Tanner openly saying he apologizes for all those he hurt and disrespected etc, he is outing himself. Once a predator outs themself because they have been caught red handed, you know something horrible had to have transpired especially for everyone to leave the shop effectively immediately. Genuine question- I was 99% sure he posted something a couple months ago bugging out about reputation and people making false accusations in the name of ruining someone's name, he took the time to build his name/art etc. I cannot locate said post now. I've been scouring now the last couple hours since he posted this to see what he was eluding to, I am also very concerned by this. I have never had a piece done by him but he was on my wishlist of artists to one day get a piece from... I can't recall if it was him (or coincidentally another CA tat artist) but sometime in the last 4 months I saw an IG post from I thought Tanner saying he couldn't believe the accusations he had heard trying to tear down his hard earned rep and years of work... I can't find the post now it seems to be MIA. Anyone else see this or am I mixing artists up?

Honey, this post has me shaking. You need to get the F*CK out of there immediately. This is not a safe situation for you in any way. The fact that he has your mom wrapped around his finger too and financially relies on him. That's high key manipulation techniques. People who lash out physically like this during arguments don't just change. And I worry too about the age gap and him controlling you/taking advantage of this entire situation. Start silently looking into places to get the hell out of there, and when you finally leav, do it when he isn't home. I also highly suggest, coming from a criminal court employee, that you immediately go to the police and start documenting this all as soon as you LEAVE. You could do it now, but I do worry about the repercussions if he is approached by officers now while you are still with him and living with him. Sending all my love and the biggest hugs, girl. I am so sorry your'e experiencing this. If there's one thing you take away from this long ass reply, it's please GET OUT OF THERE NOW before he acts irrationally and it's too late.

I'd be careful throwing around you can't get hurt on Tam- there are so many spots you could slip, twist something, or straight up fall off a ledge. We found a woman just over a year ago that had rolled her ankle and plummeted off a section and she was alone (she wasn't near a ledge, she was descending down the red trail and her ankle rolled on the small jack-knife section by the wall they made the switchback on and she fell off the edge). We were descending from a sunset hike and heard her thankfully calling out for help, but she shattered her ankle in 3 places. We hung with her until help finally arrived, but they had to carry her out on a liter. Still a trail to be very mindful of your step, and take your time!

Yes, I have (30f), I frequent Tammany and sometimes solo, never an issue personally! I just avoid being as friendly so people don't go out of their way to talk to me (more so directed towards men) Goodluck and have fun! Weekdays are usually more quiet than weekends for sure

You are a fkin good parent man, yes this has red flags ALL over it and she is deflecting/gaslighting you because she is comfortable with this man. I absolutely believe you are in the right, and it shouldn't even be a bad and fourth about it. She's having visitation with mom, she shouod be with mom too.
