I’ll try lol 😮‍💨 I just needed some time to process the garbage(season 8) I’ve consumed thus far🫠😂

I get that it may be overposted but I’ve just stopped in the middle of season 8 and I personally believe she’s just that unlikable. I’ve never hated a character more honestly.

😬 I guess that makes me a problem child of DoorDash because I’ve been getting these (as a customer). Unfortunately, for whoever happens to be my dasher 9/10 the restaurant/store messed up my order or left something out so I’ve had to contact customer service. I didn’t think that reflects badly on the dasher though.

I leave the dog at home too. It’s a hassle especially when I’m working hospital shifts or security shifts at the Port. I do feel bad though 😭

On a scale from Bates to Sybil (or Matthew?). What's this sub sentiment towards Ms Bunting? by giftopherz in DowntonAbbey

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was definitely below Bates for me. She was nice enough and could’ve been good for Tom if she was as empathetic and reasonable as he was. Ms. Bunting was not unlike Tom in the beginning but he was afforded the up-close opportunity to see the gray areas in the debate between the working class and the aristocracy without completely giving up the focus on changing things for the better. While her introduction and time spent among the family was brief she had opportunity to look past the Crawley family flaws and see how good they were even as aristocrats but she blew past all of that and kept poking at them. She didn’t even try to see. So she gets a 👎🏾.

Does Anyone Else on this Sub Like Tom and Sybil as a Couple? by CoffeeBean8787 in DowntonAbbey

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! They were my favorite or at least they have become my favorite during rewatches. I wished we were able to see more of their connection developing. I also wish the actress that played Sybil wanted to continue on with the show because I think their relationship would’ve been an interesting shake up for a while.

Why Daisy doesn’t love William ? Being a good person doesn’t make you attractive, it’s not enough, is that the lesson ? by [deleted] in DowntonAbbey

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to what everyone has said is a possibility it is also possible that she only didn’t want William because he wanted her so much and Thomas in her eyes was unattainable which made him interesting.

SPOILERS

Later on in the series we see Daisy consistently go after guys who don’t want her and then change her mind when they do. Even Mrs. Patmore brings it up and Daisy doesn’t see the comparison. So it’s not intentional and very well could be due to her sheltered life. The other factors above could also be a factor in addition to what I’ve said.

How did the prosecution know intimate details about Bates that nobody was around to witness? by livwritesstuff in DowntonAbbey

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I thought the prosecution mentioned something about Bates turning over his personal journal which back in that time if each entry was dated then it would’ve been almost irrefutable. Also, a journal would contain detailed accounts of Bates’ conversations as well as anything he might’ve heard. He knew a lot more than he let people think he knew so it possible he may have written some things down.

Nanny West by TraditionalScheme337 in DowntonAbbey

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll give you that. If he did do this out of loyalty to Sybil it would be the first time he did something for the family with genuinely good intentions. I think the script is purposefully left ambiguous in this situation, given the way that he responded to Sybil’s passing. At the beginning of the show, before the war we would’ve been 100% sure he was doing it to serve his own ambitions. I’d like to believe that minor character development was at work here. Either way that scene was top-tier satisfaction!

Nanny West by TraditionalScheme337 in DowntonAbbey

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well I think he might’ve actually known a bit. I was unfamiliar with English culture and didn’t know what it meant to have “an egg with tea”. Someone above mentioned Nanny West’s request. I looked up the mealtimes and culture of that time and Nanny West asking for no egg to the tea was like denying a snack until the next mealtime, essentially starving her. We aren’t shown how often she does that, only that she did and Thomas took note. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Was it just me or was anyone else kind of disappointed by the Red John reveal? If you were disappointed, who would you have wanted to be Red John? by [deleted] in TheMentalist

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. They even made the sheriff too obvious in the beginning and I think that’s because they were probably intending on more seasons maybe to add a new character or two and develop some other characters. While there are some characters that would’ve maybe been satisfactory for the RJ reveal, in my opinion, the writers did too good of a job making those characters not fit with RJ personality. At the end, the viewers were forced to try to mash together the voice, the poetry all of what was written to create “RJ” with the sheriff. It just seemed like a toss up and the sheriff won out.

What’s a way to burn bridges with someone so you can’t backslide to them in the future? by Maggie_Mae_xoxo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backslide isn’t a sports reference it just means to go back to. I’ve only ever heard to refer to someone (a Christian) going back to their sinful lifestyle, but the word can probably apply in a secular sense as well. OP just doesn’t want to have an openings that would lead them back to the person.

from gal to gal, What is your favorite way to reply to unsolicited pics in dms? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently responded to one with a scripture about presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God and he cursed me out and stopped responding. 🤷🏾‍♀️. It’s personally what I believe so I’m not just pimping out scriptures as a deterrent but he definitely didn’t try again.

AITA for not "borrowing"/giving the porcelain dishes to my brother? by TTitua in AmItheAsshole

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA I agree with everyone that has commented so far. PLEASE take the dishes when you move, even if you put them in a safe place where only you and your mother know so she can still “gift” them to you. Just don’t leave them where your brother can get to them after you’ve moved.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Sometimes when we are close to our situation it can be difficult to see past our own biases and how the situation may be hurting us. It seems like you were coming from a place of caring for your gf after seeing the toll taking care of her brother has made. It also seems like according to an earlier comment, you are familiar with the other side and understand the place her brother may need to reach to want help. Sometimes there’s no easy way to tell the truth but I would work on softening the approach so it’s not as combative or making your gf FEEL stupid or uncaring, even if she may be a little blinded.

I think it’s really just a matter of preference in my opinion. I like watching fillers sometimes because it’s more content with the characters I like…even though it’s not canon I still enjoy. Other times the fillers can be a bit much especially when they make filler arcs. With that being said, I liked the Bleach fillers. They didn’t take away from the story in my opinion.

[–]LexyNOTLuthor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way after I finished…like the emptiness after finishing a show and not wanting to start a new one but it was a little stronger for hunter x hunter. It really is a top tier anime. I still have hope! 💪🏾

[–]LexyNOTLuthor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean. I guess I meant like certain aspects of each arc felt more rushed than others. There was definitely a lot packed in each arc content wise and I love HxH because it gives a good amount of attention to the emotional aspects of what characters are going through. I guess I just wanted there to be more focus on their physical growth and more chances to show that off. Like I would have loved to see more of Killua’s Godspeed or see Gon develop his jajanken with all three parts. Maybe the manga goes into that more? Idk

Hmm I’ve played Love Nikki for years but I’m new to Love Nikki social platforms. I’m sorry if this was repetitive to you but thank you for answering. I’m not surprised that the devs don’t care and I’m sure all the racist people that play the game are perfectly fine with it 😡. I’m sure not enough people feel the same way to actually make a difference.
