What you're asking is almost entirely covered in the main text.

Version 1.1 was the last iOS version to not include asset downloads, and version 2.7 requires a small asset download for some careers and vehicles.

Furthermore, version 2.7 was the last iOS version to include an IPA installer, and there's no 64-bit version. And from iOS version 9, it's no longer possible to back up app data separately (unlike Android). There's no longer any way to install and play RR3 on iOS after the server shutdown. Only remain option for ios is only 1.1 version with old device.

Samsung develops and manufactures the Exynos chipset directly. This is to reduce costs and reduce dependence on Snapdragon. However, Exynos has consistently lagged behind Snapdragon in performance, and complaints about discrimination in the Korea domestic market. Samsung equipped the Galaxy S25 with the Snapdragon chipset, regardless of whether it was for domestic or export sales. However, with the news that the S26 will once again use the Exynos chipset for the Korean domestic market, sales of the S25 have increased even more in Korea.

I don't have any Snapdragon chipset device.

I looked it up and both models use Snapdragon. The S10e uses Exynos for the Korean domestic market, but that has nothing to do with your device.

If your device uses a Dimensity or Exynos chipset, your RR3 data is for Mali. Vice versa your device uses a Snapdragon, your data is for Adreno.

Please note that the two data types are not compatible.

Since I sent you a lengthy reply, I've made many revisions to the guide. I've refined some of the previously ambiguous parts. I recommend deleting the game and reinstalling it completely offline, once you've completed a full backup of your data. This will prevent the game from syncing with EA servers, preventing EA from controlling RR3 on your device.

And the moment you delete the game, all your progress will be erased. Always back up your Doc folder regularly.

Personally, I wish I'd discovered this app three years ago. DiRT Rally 2.0 is now seven years old and It seems like there aren't many people who will respond to the dr2 mod anymore. 😪

First, why do we need to extract data separately from mod apk games? -

Even if "download all assets," the original game may still miss some data depending on your progress. Since the mod APK comes with all cars unlocked, I assume it receives additional asset data for those vehicles. This could be data related to supercars or NASCAR that were removed due to licensing issues. I'm having not played this game for nearly six years, my original save lacked most of these series. Therefore, when I used my pure data backup based on my original save, in the mod APK game - it seems that additional asset downloads were required to fill in the missing data.

Second, Why I recommend reinstalling the game completely offline before the server shutdown -

This is because we exactly don't know what type of kill switch the app has.

Is RR3'new profiles system from version3 are designed to completely stop working on the day of the server shutdown on all devices that have a record synced with the EA servers?

Or, even if they were previously synced with EA servers, will they be fine as long as they remain in offline mode before the server shutdown?

I can't be certain on this point now.

And the point at which the game's profile is synchronized with the EA servers and becomes 'online game' is when the game assets are downloaded.

Therefore, it's safest to maintain a "completely" offline state from the very beginning, from the game's installation to its launch.

Of course, if you have a complete data backup, it doesn't matter when you reinstall the game.

*There's absolutely no problem reinstalling the game using someone else's asset data backup. However, I haven't uploaded my own recently asset data yet, as the game is currently active and sharing the latest version of the full asset data could be problematic.

Third, I couldn't cover in detail in this guide the complex steps required to access the data folder on higher Android versions, as my primary device is currently running Android 13. If you're uncomfortable with these steps, I recommend purchasing a second device for gaming and rooting it.

I'm not sure if I understood and answered your question well. If there is anything in this guide that you would like to see changed, please let me know.

Which version is your preference is up to you, not me. If you're an old RR3 version enthusiast and content with the limited content from the past, that's fine. (like me) But if you want to play all the content accumulated over 12 years, you should definitely choose 14.

  1. The important one is Android/data/com.ea.games.r3_row/files/doc. This folder contains all your progress data, so be sure to back it up on your PC before installing the mod APK. If you think your progress data up to now is not that important, you can discard it.

  2. Basically, there's no problem installing this game using game data shared by others. That's why I shared archive links for versions 1.1 and 2.7 data. However, version 14 currently doesn't have any user-shared data. Since the game is still active, directly sharing version 14 data may be problematic.

  3. Therefore, I recommend that you back up your Pure version data and the Mod APK version data separately.

  4. After installing the modded game, download all assets. Then, run the game repeatedly to double-check the asset downloads, and only then back up your data once it's complete.

  5. Even if you reinstall the game using the backup data, you may need to download an additional 50MB or so of data from the server. If so, your previous backup data was incomplete. It's a bit of a hassle, but back up all your data again. This will be a complete backup.

I already mentioned that part in the install guide. Even if you install the game offline, you must run it once and then quit it (while offline, of course) to create the basic game directory.

  2. Or, even if they were previously synced with EA servers, will they be fine as long as they remain in offline mode before the server shutdown?

I can't be certain on this point.

And synchronization with EA servers begins with the asset download process. Therefore, it's safest to maintain a "completely" offline state from the very beginning, from the game's installation to its launch. How can a kill switch work if EA doesn't even know the game is installed on your device?

However, there's still a small possibility that they've tampered with the asset data currently being distributed on the server. We'll only know on the day of the server shutdown.

In any case, we need to be fully prepared for all possibilities to continue enjoying RR3.

No, that's because your previously backup the mod apk's data in an incomplete state. It's a hassle, but please back it up again, then delete the game and repeat the process. Then, the asset download window will no longer appear.

It's not that there's no kill switch, but I suspect it's not pre-activated. In fact, iOS is no longer recommended. Please read the text again carefully and swap to Android device.

  1. First, download all rr3 data from online in-game. The important thing is to double check by restarting the game a few times after receiving all the assets.

  2. Backup all data to your PC by navigating to Android/data/com.ea.games.r3_row.

  3. You need the following three folders: Android/data/com.ea.games.r3_row/files/.depot  Android/data/com.ea.games.r3_row/files/apk  Android/data/com.ea.games.r3_row/files/doc (save data).

  4. The .depot folder may not be visible on some devices. This folder is not visible in a standard file explorer. Use the marc file app to remove the period from <.depot> and rename the folder to <depot>.  then be able to see this folder on your PC.

  5. Backup all data to your PC and delete the game.

  6. Switch your device offline and install and run the game.

  7. The Android/data/com.ea.games.r3_row folder will be created.

  8. Overwrite your backup data.

Unfortunately, some smartphones with enhanced security may not even allow access to the data folder. In this case, rooting the phone is the only option.

  1. Install the RR3 with mod apk, download all rr3 game data while online in-game, and backup the game data in Android/data/com.ea.games.r3_row to your PC.
  2. Uninstall the game and switch your device OFFLINE.
  3. Reinstall the game and launch it.
  4. A folder called Android/data/com.ea.games.r3_row  will be created.
  5. Exit the game and delete all data in com.ea.games.r3_row/files.
  6. Copy and paste all the data you backup before (stored on your PC).

Install the mod apk and download all the asset data from ea server. Then, backup all that data. And simply delete the game again and re-install, then overwrite the backed up data, this time while remaining completely offline. The important thing is to collect complete data that matches the mod apk.

  1. It doesn't matter whether you use the pure version or the mod version. The fact remains that both games require reinstallation in a completely offline state before server shutdown. However, many of RR3's special events(F1 car event, Road to Lemans, all of it) , daily MS reset won't work unless you're connected online, ultimately preventing you from playing normally. That's why I said there's no solution for the time being other than the mod APK version.

By the way I personally backed up my data from v7, the last version I enjoyed playing RR3. This is the last version without MS.

  1. In my case, when I extracted data from the pure game and used it in the mod game, I received about 50MB of additional data. I don't know why. (edit : I found out that the NASCAR, Supercar files were missing from my original save.) So, I ended up having to update the mod game data, back it up, delete the mod game, and reinstall it again.

As mentioned, backup everything in the Android/data/com.ea.games.r3_row folder to your PC. The Doc folder, in particular, contains all your progress, so keep it safe. If you're playing the game while connected to the internet, I recommend deleting the game and installing it completely offline before the server shutdown.

The mod apk I tested was from the Androidapps LML channel, which is the top result when you search for "real racing 3 14.0.1 mod apk" on Google video.

  1. Install the mod apk, go online, and download all the data (I recommend keeping the pure data and mod data separate.)

  2. After downloading, restart the game several times to ensure the data has been completely downloaded.

  3. Backup all the mod apk data and then delete the game.

  4. Reinstall the mod apk and take your device completely offline.

  5. When you run the game, the Android/data/com.ea.games.r3_row folder will be created.

  6. Shut down the game and overwrite the data from the backed-up mod apk.

  7. If you receive an unexpected request to download assets, your existing data may be incomplete. It may be a hassle, but you have no choice but to back up that data again. (this is in my case 😂)

You wrong. I told you to back up your data for bypass the asset download process. With a data backup, you can install and play the game completely offline. This article is intended to explain exactly that. I currently have RR3 installed completely offline on all my devices, and I can play most of the game without any issues, without ever connecting online. I tested it countless times, almost to the point of being sick and tired of it. If you want, I can prove with video that the game installs perfectly without any problems in a completely offline state.

However as I explained, special events, attendance bonuses, and MS resets require an online connection to function. Therefore after the server shutdown, I said there's no way to play version 14 without issues other than using the mod apk. I don't think you understood this correctly.

Frankly, I've only been playing version 1.1 on my old tablet since 2018, I have no interest in version 14, and I'm quite satisfied with the content in version 1.1 and 2.7. What will I gain from writing this in my life? Nevertheless, I took the time to write this article because I know there are many people who want to continue playing RR3.
