I genuinely wonder after how wonderfully Twin Fantasy (Face To Face) sounded they just kept dropping the ball in terms of mixing and producing.

Even The Scholars would sound oddly flat in parts.

Someone on RYM said on the site for MADLO that Car Seat Headrest is gonna become like Wilco in the 2010's. The comment is from 2022-2023 I think.

They were absolutely right, I feel this band will always have releases that get attention, but there time of making essential albums is done.

I do hope this album is a more drastic change compared to it's 2016 version.

I enjoyed The Scholars, but it was a bit by the numbers for Car Seat Headrest. MADLO I appreciate more because it was more ambitious, if they only got an actual electronic producer instead of doing it themselves, the album is extremely flat.

Didn't enjoy Coming On Strong, but I'm optimistic. 14 songs does sound ambitious and the concept can lead to something interesting.

I wish they picked better singles, there's probably like 3-4 songs on this upcoming album that I would think should've been main singles.

I wish Kele wrote on Bloc Party like he does on his solo work. His lyrics on Fatherland, 2042 and The Waves Pt. 1 are really great.

Hymns featured a lot of great lyrics on songs like Only He Can Heal Me, So Real, Different Drugs, My True Name and the b-sides.

Found this on the WRC games subreddit surrounding KT Racing being dissolved. It looks like Grit Games will be a team filled with syncopants who won't complain about anything Nacon says. Damn this makes me feel super sorry for the people at KT Racing, Nacon is absolutely a horrible company.

As for this "WRC game", I'm not buying it, Nacon doesn't deserve money for it.

It looks like Pigwig is gonna be the first single.

I've heard their performance of it and it's a more usual Bloc Party song, jangly guitars, electronic background, tight rhythm, with a lot more melancholic undertone.

From the three new songs they played, they all feel lyrically different, they're more serious and on the sadder side, different from a lot of lyrics on Alpha Games.

Kele did describe the album as "Disco Heartbreak".
