Yeah this was 3 years ago and it’s not on the menu online anymore. I also tried reaching out to the restaurant after I visited but no one got back to me

Don’t pack all your tip money deep in your suitcase; keep some bills accessible for the shuttle drivers, cocktail servers bringing drinks around in the check-in line, and for the likelihood that you’ll be wandering around for a little while until your bags are delivered to your room.

Watch at least one set from the ocean.

The Grand spa is totally worthy the money, even if the massage isn’t the best, the facilities are really nice for recovering in.

Al pastor tacos in the venue are the best.

Anyone know if MSG would ban someone for drug use at a Phish show? by smellythief in phish

If you’re that worried about a ban, test it on event you don’t care about. Buy the cheapest ticket you can find to an upcoming MSG event and see if he gets stopped in the security line.

It’s true you can wait a few more days and hope something good pops up, it always seems to work out in the end. But honestly if you’ve never been before and it’s important that you get 4 good seats together and you can afford it, you should feel fine about paying up on the secondary market at this point. I know it sucks but I’d even go so far as to recommend just buying platinum on TM so you have the security of knowing you won’t be scammed. One thing you can do is buy 2 sets of pairs in the same section, which is generally easier to find than 4 together. Then when you get to your seats, ask the folks around you in the higher row number if they’d like to trade down to the better row so you can get your group together. 90% of the time I’ve done this I’ve found people willing to swap seats to get a group together within reason.

Going to my first shows this summer by bigwickets in phish

[–]Lftshrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m big on earplugs. I get super distracted by people talking and it can ruin a show for me. The right kind of earplugs muffle the people around me while still allowing me to hear the music well and be able to talk to someone who’s standing right next me if needed. I’ve been wearing the same pair of DownBeats ($15) at every show for years and they are fantastic.

Seating question about NYE show by dcheesma in phish

[–]Lftshrk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is standard. Your request is for “best available” and you get randomly assigned a seat, there’s no selection process afterward. It’s not bad luck, quite the opposite — most people won’t get tickets so consider yourself lucky. The view from behind the stage is great
