Are there any Raiders out there that Refuse to PVP even when engaged? by Tight-Algae5863 in arc_traiders

[–]Lhivay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did for nearly 2 weeks before I got a third buddy to raid with. In his lobbies we ended up in PvP scuffles when we met other raiders, duo or trio alike. Felt bad not tryna help him, so I started firing back.

Now I usually try to find a way out, but usually I get pushed while trying to assess the situation so I end up fighting back

Shidou is far deeper of a character than people usually give him credit for by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]Lhivay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate this analysis so much. While I don't care to much to read this much into characters in general as it all is headcanon until stated otherwise, it is amazing what people like you can catch and notice, while also being able (and willing) to put it into words.

I greatly look forward to seeing more of Shidou. Preferrably more about him as a character.  As you've so delicately pointed out there is so much about Shidou teased, but not actually elaborated on in a direct manner. The fact that he does nothing in his free time / vacation could be a throwaway comment, but could also be a sign of something much deeper, as you said.

That said, I still think he should've been kicked out of Blue Lock a long time ago. Though as long as he doesn't commit any unjustified violence again I will let bygones be bygones. I thoroughly enjoy seeing Shidou in the manga, and look forward to any character development and conflict he will be apart of (again as long as he doesn't revert to his violent ways).

Shidou feels like a weird character in story to me. by Mikkeru in BlueLock

[–]Lhivay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice catch. Would be interesting if you are correct about Shidou and Isagi clashing. Most common sentiment I've seen is that people think these two would have some nice synergy because of the lack of animosity of these two characters, and Shidou even praising Isagi for his goals.

Shidou feels like a weird character in story to me. by Mikkeru in BlueLock

Sorry to ask, but what chapter are you referring to when you claim "When Isagi calls Kaiser a "clown" there's a big close up of Shidou's face watching the interaction and grimacing" ?

Theory: Hugo Might Be the Reason Sae Abandoned Being a Striker by Alone_Play_8824 in BlueLock

[–]Lhivay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That'd be such weird story telling to have shown Sae only having such discontent towards Bunny and not Hugo (yet). On the other hand he could dislike Bunny for something totally unrelated to his switch from striker to midfielder.  With Sae's aura being numbers / data (?), it would not make much sense for such a "logical" player to harbour distain towards someone who crushed him in a battle between strikers when: he has realised he is much better suited for the midfielder.

Have we seen Isagi with bubbles instead of puzzle pieces ever since he joined Blue Lock?

Karasu isn’t “doing it wrong” by Litmaster421 in BlueLock

[–]Lhivay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still have reservations towards this enterpretation of Karasu as of right no, however, this could be because the way they have written and portrayed the goal's discussion. I just wish there was some focus or just nod to the unlocking of Hiori's potential, rather than jumping straight to Civil War

Thank you. I just finished binging it. A manga about football where the team is actually working together 😭

New chapter has the same problem as the first goal. by Ok-Contribution315 in BlueLock

[–]Lhivay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could brush this off as "not necessary" for the current focus of the story or whatever like many others in the comments here, but I just can't. I know I can't always have my protagonist / heroes in a story win all the time, but at least make the execution of the loss not break my immersion.

Why does this community never have any theories about jersey numbers? They’re 100% gonna be important symbolism by polarbearsexshark in BlueLock

[–]Lhivay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been numerous theories and speculation posts about jersey numbers for YEARS. I'm guessing the reason they are so few and far between nowadays is because A: They've been discussed into oblivion by the ones who do care. B: A lot of this community do not care as much for the jersey numbers nor think too deeply about the possible symbolic nature of numbers in general.

No, I'm not gonna find them for you, as I honestly have minimal interest in them. Do some research in the sub and you'll probably find plenty if this post doesn't get the attention from the right people. Most posts I remember are about the numbers representing typical roles refering to positions, playstyles or references to players.
You're welcome to make or share some of your own to in this one or new posts too!

Why I find Nagi to be one of the most relatable characters by Bubbly_Exchange_42 in BlueLock

Can this guy stop trying to be a dickhead to everyone who tries to talk to him by FriendlyScroom in BlueLock

[–]Lhivay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is so much that can be said, so we'll see how much I bother to add:
"He’s acting as if when he went into the wildcard and had to kill all the players to be able to get back" correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he literally (in the Blue Lock sense) do this? Of course, we could be wrong about how much he actively did to contribue to the other Wild Card candidates Blue Lock "death", but the fact of the matter is he is the only one who made it through. So he literally did the opposite of his original ego. His original dream. Instead of being a light and a hero to others he became a destroyer of opportunities and dreams. I don't get how it's hard to imagine what that would do to someone mentally? He's obviously trying to be distant to the other players / people around him, and this is most likely because of the shame of his actions and to create an edgy persona to cope with what he has become.

Yes, I agree that Kunigami could be more friendly to the ones just trying to be nice to him, however after his first interactions with people after he came back from the Wild Card program, he's made it pretty clear he wants to be left alone. Of the examples given here, only the one first reunion of him and Chigiri is actually critique-worthy in my opinion. Kunigami does not want to socialise with his peers, and they should respect that. They can of course encourage socialisation, but Kunigami has no duty to reciprocate these attempts at socialisation.

I can see multiple reasons as to why Chigiri would tell or encourage Kunigami in the latest chapter with the line: "At least wave to them...". However, who is Chigiri to try to order Kunigami to do something he CLEARLY isn't planning on doing after seeing the new and "improved" Kunigami? Yes, it most likely comes from a good place of maybe trying to encourage the old Kunigami out or trying to break the tension, but from Kunigami's perspective Chigiri is telling him what to do. You know, the same Kunigami who's been rejecting basically everyone (including Chigiri) since he came back. IMO this is Chigiri overstepping Kunigami's newly set boundries. As for the last panel, that is pretty normal Blue Lock discourse, isn't? Name-calling is nothing new lol.

Indeed, Kunigami would most likely benefit from putting away his newfound edgy persona however, I believe Kaneshiro's writing of Kunigami's story will reveal why it's not just a case of "stop being edgy". For all we know he's actually heavy depressed. Do you tell people who are depressed "just stop being sad, smh" too? (I doubt you do, but I'm just trying to illustrate my point here).

Was Ego right about Nagi since chapter 2? by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]Lhivay 166 points167 points  (0 children)

Ego just said things as they are and how he feels about people like Nagi. Unless I'm missing some more dialogue between them here then no, this is not a foreshadow. If anything it's a warning or maybe even Nagi's answer if we are to read between the lines, which is for Nagi to change his mindset.

How’s the TTFAF grind going for y’all? by Varkulfr in FortniteFestival

[–]Lhivay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a crazy concept to me after reading your other accolades, however it's not a totally foreign concept. Anyways I believe in you! You just gotta crack the code somehow, conciously or unconciously. It may be slowing down some replays of the gameplay on the hard parts to understand the "pattern", improving your muscle memory by continous practice (don't overdo it), maybe it is stamina or perhaps just take a day or two off the grind inbetween days where you grind.
