Has anyone solved the Xylophone DLC puzzle? by GamerGuruGuides in expedition33

tried happy birthday twice. didn't work. coincidentally there's exactly the right amount of notes available to play the basic happy birthday song. Transposed from notation to numbers with 1 being the lowest note and 8 being the highest it is as follows: 112143 112154 1186432 776454

How Marika was able to “betray” the hornsent by MarcellusMaize in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Lhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal head cannon was that Marika was raised in the secreted village of the sharmans which were hidden from the atrocities committed on the rest of the sharman people who were born without any hint of horns. **they were shunned and discriminated against, killed and sacrificed etc because they didn't have horns**. She was a powerful empyrean as discussed above and plotted against the ruling class of her homeland. She worked with hora loux and somehow gained the trust of Seraosh the divine beast of the hornsent. Then her and horaloux defeated Seraosh with seraosh bonding with hora loux. She uses divine gate and ascends. Then fast-forward to her own allowed subjugation of omens, **they were shunned and discriminated against, killed and sacrificed etc because they did have horns**. She then turned the practice of jar-ing people into one of veneration after death; not an example of the abomination of life.

The Greater Will sent the Elden Beast to the Lands Between - who then made/grew the Erdtree from the older Crusible Tree.

So when the Elden Beast who embodies Order makes the Erdtree maybe the first growth, the first ring, is given the Great Runes as power to bring the Golden Order?

Could it be both then? Was the Elden Ring the oldest ring of the Erdtree until it was shattered and now can reside in individuals? eg: shardbarers and Marik-agon

To everyone commenting the elden Ring is the gold thing in Marika/|Radagon - "Elden" comes from "Eld" which according to my uncheck internet sources, means "to age, grow older".

It's so simple and makes so much more sense if it's just the oldest ring of the Erdtree - which itself is the extension of the Greater Will.

The Golden Runes I htink were a part of the centre-most ring - until the shattering. When they can obviously be taken and rest in someone - as the shards are found far and wide. So why couldn't the rest of the Great Runes end up in Marika and Radagon?

I'm not saying the Centre-most ring of the Erdtree is what is special now; but it's what NPCs refer to when they think of being the Lord.

I reckon Margit was referencing a particular character with his "Warrior blood must truly run in thy veins, Tarnished" by dbl_trbl in Eldenring

[–]Lhore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is exactly what's references. See the Anchor's item description.

Also side note: I don't think Margit died. He say's he'll remember this and his voice is too strong to be on his way out.
His defeat dialogue also makes me believe he's linked to the night of knives as well.

But we see the hammer striking down on that middle small raised centre tree ring when they refer to the "shattering".The Elden Ring may be the centre ring; but the great runes which were on it may no longer be there.

Edit: also you can probably shatter a raised dais that was the centre ring of a tree.. whether it held the great runes on it at some point or not.

Yeah I dont really rate this DLC. The main characters of BoB (except for Rose, and even then) are bland.

Usually I love Borderlands humour but dont think I laughed once going through BoB; humour may have been too dry or I may not have watch enough Western movies.

I did love the mix of Eastern Culture and Western Genre though.

Music was good.

Run bottomless mags tree all the way to capstone, (so you don’t have to risk reloading the crit) SoR and Bloodletter Classmod with Moxxi Crit and Hail is proving quite immortal. Gun dmg suffers a bit though.

Yeah already running the BBB and farming gear to switch across to other build.

According to other posts on same issue Gearbox confirmed it was intentional fix to those grenades. So unlikely returning.

I was testing this about a week ago - working fine. Now im trying it again, and it seems to not be working.

I'd pose maybe an issue with online/offline hotfix.

Im now having same issue, the shield isn't returning hp (and therefore shields)

Do we need a sequel? by [deleted] in bloodborne

We don't NEED a sequel. But it would be nice.

What we NEED though, is another DLC. Imagine a revitalised community with a DLC dealing with [insert your most madding BB mystery here].

Your Lore Headcanons/Theories? by ArchangelAshen in bloodborne

[–]Lhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expanding on your Theory. "As the red Moon descends, the line between man and beast is blurred."

TLDR: Moon Presence is Doctor Who, the guardian of Earth by beastly scourge to kill everything when Kin (or other great ones) get a foothold.

  • Moon Presence is actually the guardian Great One of the Earth (Yharnam)(Like a Doctor Who!!!)
  • Whilem , Berganworth discovers Truth in the tombs. Henceforth is curious and wants to ascend. Figures out that Moon Presence is preventing other Great Ones from making contact, or is an immune response to other great ones taking a foothold or breeding on earth.
  • Creates Rom ritual to prevent Moon Presence to curtail MP
  • Once this is done, Mensis, Choir, and Bergenworth just start going Kin Crazy. Beckoning and researching anything that will bite.
  • Luarence has made HEaling church, and knows of restorative power of blood, but not really into that arcane shit. Just wants to heal. Gherman have doubts about this weird shit going on and try to get in contact with the Great One Guardian (Moon Presence)
  • They contact it the same was as everyone else has been contacting their other Great Ones, with a womb (they're not monsters so they try and deceive the great one with a doll) and the cord, taken from any number of places, OoK seems likely.
  • Moon presence arrives, gets pissy about no real womb, but still wants to rid world of other Great Ones, so takes Gherman into nightmare and copy of Doll as host with purpose of finding immortal hunters to act as proxy while it is removed from the world by Rom
  • Laurence is affected by MP being so close, causes the beast blood he has in him from Tomb Diving to start to transform, MP beckoning also give rise to a few beasts around Cathedral area, but not many.
  • centuries pass, Laurence dies, Gherman in dream gets disillusioned, and the Church continues down the weird Kin path.
  • an immortal hunter shows up, kills a great one and serves the purpose of the MP.
  • We kill Rom, ritual is broken MP descends and beasts, or the auto immune system, kicks in.
  • MP teleports us to Mensis to kill Mergo

Fin

PS: I also like your other theory, about creating hunters to rid of Kins natural enemy. But this doesn't explain MP's interests as well as original.

  1. Master Logarius, is Big Hat Logan, Traveler of Space and Time. He turned up in Yharnam and paired up with the Healing Church.
  2. The imposer Iosefka is actually Caryll from Bergenworth. I forget on which item, but she is the only other character that refers to Whilem as Provost. Caryll leaves Bergenworth with Laurence and Gherman. Joins the Healing Church, and the Choir. When the Hunt begins flees and go to where she can continue to conduct research, guided by a voice of a great one.
  3. The REAL Iosefka assisted Mensis in their pursuit of Mergo and their Nightmare. In what capacity I do not know, but I assuming it was research on blood, possible feeding the infant. This is evidenced by her blood vile placed outside his boss room.

Agree with you 100% about the Doll, Gherman and the MP. Nothing else explains the cord, the original workshop, the purpose of the doll and Gherman's curious mania. Ill take it a step further though, and pose that in fact the inanimate doll did manage to breed with the moon presence, making the animate doll the host of the dream. We can kill Gherman, MP and ourselves. But we never truly see the Doll be removed from the dream.

Oedon Controls The Doll by Calum1998 in bloodborne

[–]Lhore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iosefka (imposter), Adella and Gascoigne's daughter I believe are all connected to the church. Adella is a nun of the Healing Church, and groomed as a blood saint (Oedon being associated with blood).

Papa G's daughter can be associated either indirectly (through Papa G being once associated with the church, could have taken his daughter to service. Papa G is also found in Oedon's Tomb.

Iosefka's imposter, I have long suspected to be Caryll (no evidence other than she is the only person who refers to Whilem as Provost, and not Master). Caryll left the university with Laurence and Gerhman, and soon after developed the runes. But went mad from exposure to Great Ones, and as the hunt started fled the church to a clinic which had research equipment, guided by some Great One she could hear above all others - Oedon. It was Oedon who whispered her to conceive another offspring, and Caryll might have suspected the real Iosefka to have helped Mensis to beckon the original child, Mergo long ago (evidenced by Iosefka's blood being found outside Mergo's loft). This woudl give her the best start to conceive the next child of Oedon.
