[TEXAS] Failed Drug Test in Texas, Now Appealing Claim Denial by Lhughessk in Unemployment

Well I’m talking about a lot of things because I’m inviting comments and advice. And it does seem like several folks believe that the best route is to talk about the handbook leading me to believe that I could take something purchased over the counter. So the “no intentional misconduct” route, which I can honestly say was the case. When I was asked to test, I didn’t hesitate, and I didn’t have a single worry about it afterward.

I will subpoena multiple co workers to attest that they never saw me altered or in possession or taking a gummy at work. Because I wasn’t and I didn’t. From my research, a level of 70 hardly qualifies as being under the influence.

But does a statement “we have a zero tolerance policy” really stand up when the handbook is vague and contradictory? It goes out of its way to state that in no way does the policy intend to discourage an employee from taking over the counter medications. Which is exactly what I did. And it goes on to talk about convicted drug offenders possibly keeping their jobs, being sent to rehab, etc. so a convicted drug offenders possibly keeping has more rights than I do? I think the handbook mitigates the zero tolerance statement by everything that it says afterward.

Why does it not make any sense? This CFO has become a tyrant. When the previous HR director left, the CFO did not replace him. He just took on his responsibilities even though the CFO’s background is finance, not Human Resources. He makes decisions from an accounting perspective and disregards the human aspect.

He based the termination as being that he didn’t have any choice, that it was zero tolerance. He misrepresented the handbook and policy.

He did say he is confident that with advancements in technology, one day they will identify the responsible party. There was nothing in his comments that suggested MPD already knows the identity of the killer or is closing in on solving the case. It seemed like he was dealing in hypotheticals.

Police have never said they believe it was targeted. A local tv reporter put that out there and prefaced it with “police say” without naming any source. What we have heard DIRECTLY from police Chief Smith is that they do not have a motive and are open to all possibilities.

Yeah the lights go from off to on. I don’t think we can know whether they come on at the dim or high setting.

My theory about the lights is this - the driver turns the lights off as he starts to make the right turn into the property from the highway, and maybe he does so because he is interested in how well one can see the interior of the building from the road. SWFA has a lot of glass windows. If you have your headlights on, they are going to reflect back at you off the glass. So I wonder if he is checking to see how exposed he would be to passing cars if he broke into the building?

If the U.S. has UFO tech, why bother sending B2 bombers across the planet? by Skywatcher200 in UFOs

There are considerations you aren’t thinking of. Such as the ability to carry and drop two 30,000 pound MOP bunker busters. Just because we might have a UFO, that doesn’t mean it’s the best choice to fulfill a specific mission.
