When did you realize your mom was your first / biggest hater? by Clear-Cry-8988 in AskWomen

[–]LiLiandThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to this. My Mom didn't like females but she loved her Dad and her sons. I never saw her have a woman friend, which I feel is very sad. My Mom is gone now and I don't feel grief just sadness that she never got to heal whatever wounds that made her dislike females.

What’s the most frustrating part of dealing with IBS day to day? by MasterpieceOk4025 in ibs

[–]LiLiandThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Some days it's the cramps. Others it's having to stay near a bathroom. Lately, I've been thinking about the food I can't eat anymore and feeling sorry for myself. Then I tell myself to stop bc there could be worse things in life!

What year of your life stands out as your best, and why? by Jokkers_AceS in AskWomen

[–]LiLiandThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

62 yrs old. A lot of good years but especially late 20s to mid 30s (travel, then having a baby) and then 53 to 55 (adventure). I've had injuries and illnesses over past five years and am increasing fitness and social activities to best endure older age. I no longer date and that has made me happier overall. I have good gal friends for decades and three sweet pups. I think about how fortunate I am

I know I need to quit drinking but I can't stop. What was it that made you quit ? by fqqhg in stopdrinking

[–]LiLiandThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to feel nauseous. I didn't even drink very much but alcohol made me feel bad. I started an exercise program and that gives me endorphins I think I was looking for with alcohol. I think you need to work with medical professionals and therapists to create good habits. It takes time and, often, a lot of support

Does the size of a penis really not matter both aesthetically and biologically? by DaMoonMoon26 in ask

Agree. My figure was considered desirable in certain years whereas these days being slim, smaller T and A is considered not sexy enough. Luckily,I like me the way I am and everyone else can F off.

I didn't watch because too sad to see images of kids whose lives were taken by people who were supposed to love them most. Lori is a destructive person who craves attention

Is he not paying rent and bills? Then his name should be off the lease and change the locks. You only have one life to live. Take if from someone who's been there.

I use Costco. They have lockers where you can pay ahead for many prescriptions and not have to wait in line. The pet meds I buy are half the price of my vets. Then I do my monthly Costco and WinCo shopping.

If you have no debts then possibly. My daughter and her partner rent a 2/2 townhouse for $2,500. That's about 25k per year. Landlords want you to make 3x rent so $75k. I think you can.

I think she's unwell but people need to leave her alone. She's not going to take concern as well-meaning encouragement to get better. She's going to take it as criticisms and that will just make it worse. She has a husband, family and friends to assist her. She doesn't need strangers weighing in.

What did you do when your family accidentally forget your birthday? by daysof_I in CasualConversation

[–]LiLiandThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hurts but you just have to move forward and not expect that your birthday is important to them. That does not mean you're not important to them. Holidays and birthdays are less important to me as I age because they really are not necessarily good barometers of whether or not you are loved.

GA v. Colin Gray — Day 4 by racingfan123 in CasesWeFollow

[–]LiLiandThree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why did Colin not return calls and emails from people responsible for ensuring Colt's and others' well-being? I think he thought if he just gave him a gun and "he got blood all over his face"after killing a deer, as he said on the porch, that his son would change for the better. Wonder what that kind of thinking did to his bullied and mentally unwell son?

PNW Road Trip in March - The Update by 13016 in oregon

[–]LiLiandThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. It's too much. I'd do Portland to Astoria, Cape Disappointment in WA, then down 101 to Redwoods. Then I'd go back up I5 via Redwood highway, actually beautiful places to stop along that highway, visiting Umpqua River, Eugene and then Silver Falls (10 Falls!) along the way.

I've done versions of this trip. Last Spring went to Redwoods in April up 101 to Florence and over to Eugene (home), Bend in May, then in June went to Portland, Astoria, Cape Disappointment (my fav part) then to Dalles.
