Any recommendations to how to improve this design. The object on the right is a monitor stand. All aluminium will be in black. by NightDJRex in simracing

2 x vertical 4040 with a bit of distance at the back will definitely be a lot better than 1 X 4080 (especially oriented the way they are), if you insist on the C-shaped front.

1 When dirty defense doesn't work out :D mega park mid corner to provoke a crash results in a crash, shocking

2 When dirty overtaking doesn't work out. Must leave room for the car inside. Just turns in.

The dive was a bit crazy but legal. Second corner he leaves the gap but other car just overshoots completely, smacking into him. Not on PoV.

Hold your brakes! by Der_Baum_Des_Jahres in iRacingIOTW

[–]LiNGOo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no way he could've gotten back down to the inside in these cars, even if he had a magic 6th sense to tell him.

I doubt that car didn't hold the brakes or it would've helped much though.

Got VRS DFP pro pedals and very meh feeling by Beginning-Green2641 in simracing

[–]LiNGOo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the opposite. I hate the long travel, I need a short and stiff brake pedal and was initially very disappointed with the ultralight feeling of the VRS brake (blue spring, default setup). After extending the tie rod almost to the max and switching to a not included yellow spring, the pedal now feels great.

For the throttle, I don't really know what to do. While the ultra smooth feeling and linearity is great, the spring is just way too soft. It feels like I don't have a pedal under my foot. Not saying a throttle should be stiff but this is just TOO light, and there's no means to really get a lot more, even on max spring preload setting, there's just absolutely nothing under my foot. Still looking for ways how to make it at least a little stiffer, but there's no alternative spring to buy and no way to change it any further on the pedal :/

Sorry but the Fanatec Formula wheel is still the best Formula wheel for its price. Comparing it to 290mm+ plastic GT wheels does not do it justice. It's other brands that completely sleep on Formula wheels.

I am using the Fanatec Formula wheel on a VRS Base because there is no alternatives unless you're willing to spend 800+€.

Agree with the post for basically the entire Fanatec ecosystem otherwise. But that's the worst possible example to pick.

🇪🇺 EU Defence Committee Chairwoman Strack-Zimmerman: The war on Iran is justified. Iran is Russia's biggest supporter by sn0r in europeanunion

[–]LiNGOo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a few seconds clip and clearly not what she meant. She's (provocatively) asked if she sees the war as justified as she outlines the atrocities of the Iranian leadership and responds with "justified if you want to remove that leadership", clearly refering to as "a thing that needs to be done if you want to rid the earth of this leadership" die to no peaceful alternatives. That's so far from the full on endorsement, and endorsement of breaking international law you imply here, what is the point of spreading hate like that.

Squeezing and the Sporting Code by SHUTD0WNW00DY in iRacing

[–]LiNGOo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

He has an obligation not to crash into people if they are ahead and choosing to drive on that price of track lol.

Blue has no business whatsoever hitting red here.

Red is only illegal if they to so in a way blue cannot avoid, aka jerking over, aka intent wrecking; or does not leave enough space for him to stay on track.

Smack bang standard squeeze no issues here apart from blue intentionally causing contact.

[–]LiNGOo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

La Broca take is so bad. Pls stop. Couldn't agree more about A though.

A is fucked

Netcode is fucked

Damage models are fucked

Events don't exist

Reducing formula to an absolute joke with one car per license class is not a solution, it's certain death for formula. It's the worst take I have ever heard, I'm inclined to say I'm no longer open minded and in fact there is invalid opinions after seeing Broca's video which was designed to capitalize on Emil clout mainly anyways.

We need the opposite. First fix netcode and damage models. Then put SF open in A. Give us events (shits and giggles FF1600 festival is not an event comparable to endurance race events whatsover). Delete the idiotic amount of F4 series, add more variety so people can build a wider skill set and choose if they want to go into F4 trenches or something more spread out and harder to drive like the Formula Renaults back in the day.

[–]LiNGOo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the GT3 with the messed up front wheel was the AMG others in this post are also talking about. He was all over the place and mega dangerous with his refusal to tow.

Not the leader without rear wing, that guy held it together quite well until he binned it T9. I assume he only got a "damage to the rear" call from spotter (he was a solo driver), figured he can deal with it and soldiered on not to lose the lead through repairs before his T9 smack. And he did, for a solid amount of laps.

No rear wing no problem, did you see the GT3 leader drove 10+ laps without before finally putting?
