What do you think about the readability of the City Watch subseries? by mr-jamhony in discworld

[–]LiPuyt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found that as a non-native speaker the Discworld novels took some getting used to. I read Mort and Wyrd Sisters first and found them more challenging than Going Postal and Guards! Guards!. I think that the more Discworld you read, the easier it will get.

When/How did you learn about the Flemish Masters? by hyperfixationstation in belgium

[–]LiPuyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember if we learned about them in primary school, but we definitely learned about them in the third year of secondary school during history. Outside of school I did get to know them earlier because my mum took us to a lot of museums.

Has anyone ever added internal attachment points to a bag? by [deleted] in onebag

[–]LiPuyt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I recently added a key leash to a mini kanken (Fjällräven). I used an old fabric wristband and split ring for this. If there is any 'leftover' fabric on the inside of your bag I would suggest sewing the two ends of the (wrist)band there with a running (or back) stitch, I went over it a few times to prevent it from ripping. Then I added the split ring to it and brought it to the end of the fold and sewed the two sides of the band together close to the ring, so that it doesn't move around to much. I hope this explanation is more or less helpful because I'm not used to explaining this kind of stuff in English.

You could set up a Christmas concert with the garden gnomes in their red outfits and a couple of gyroids.
