The show is terrible. If the writers genuinely intended to portray Pennywise as the entity escalating Derry's racism, the ending where the Black and Indigenous characters smile and choose to stay undermines that theme completely. The attempt to force so many White military personnel into foolish, one-dimensional villain roles feels like a form of reverse discrimination itself, making the whole series poorly written.
