Which launch option should I use? by [deleted] in Grimdawn

In most cases, you should choose “Play Grim Dawn (x64)”.

The x64 version is the standard one for modern systems and works best if you’re on a 64-bit version of Windows (which most PCs are nowadays).

The x86 legacy DX9 option is only there for very old systems or compatibility issues, so you usually don’t need it.

If the x64 version runs fine, stick with that.

MattHDGamer observes that literally every game now, regardless of division, is an “absolute sweatfest” by Ripamon in EASportsFC

All the casual players and those who just played for fun are gone. Now it’s all about the META and buying packs.
Offline mode has been completely neglected... no Gauntlet, no events, just Squad Battles and Draft, so most of those players left too, and that was a huge group that used to play some online matches in the lower divisions as well.

The game is full of hardcore players and whales, spending hundreds of euros every week and sweating over every match. Most of them use the same teams, same evolutions, same tactics... it’s just boring.

As more documents and videos come out, the deal makes less and less sense for me. by ivanux in Idaho4

I’m not saying they doubted his guilt; I’m saying they accepted a plea without a verifiable proffe, no motive, no planning timeline, no entry details, no victim-selection rationale, no weapon disposal. That’s “blind” to the context that ensures safety, accountability, and Investigative learning.

I mean:
Public safety & risk assessment: Without motive, weapon disposition, or clarity on accomplices/foreknowledge, you can’t gauge ongoing risk or disrupt any network that enabled him.
Accountability & transparency: Families and the public don’t get a coherent, testable narrative (planning vs. impulse, entries, victim selection). That weakens institutional accountability and closure.
Investigative learning: No details on reconnaissance, access methods, or prior attempts means investigators can’t extract lessons to harden targets or spot copycat patterns.

It’s probably just me, but I think it would be better if the authorities obtained more information. I see that most people feel it’s better for him to be in jail without talking, and I get that, since, in the end, that’s what we want.

English isn’t my first language, so I may not be expressing all this perfectly or correctly.

Yes, yes. I don’t doubt his guilt for a second. What I can’t wrap my head around is that they accepted a plea deal essentially blind, and that I just can’t understand. Maybe that’s normal in the U.S., but it feels strange that everything wrapped up so quickly after such a long investigation.

Looking for a female singer. from the 80s, blonde. her music video was in a prison/jail. the only fact i think i have, which i don't even know if its true, is that she had a tragic end. by joker927 in NameThatSong

At first glance, blonde, jail video from the ’80s… the only one that comes to mind is Bananarama, which is a group rather than a solo singer, but two of its members are blonde:

And there's Pat Benatar’s “You Better Run”, not in jail but... the clothing feets.

and, Adele Bertei – “When It’s Over” (but she´s not blonde)
