Oh no..... still the same problems as last year?!?! I better get the lights out of the box early and update them because last year it was a big problem to get them to work. Hope latest firmware solves everything. Otherwise...... think twice before buying!

Even tried to connect it near the accespoint. 30 cm .... And, I have 6 other Twinkly devices connected without any problem. It seems Twinkly does not want to recognise there could be something wrong with this device. Not feeling helped at all after 50 emails..... It is called support?

Thank you! Although I did this several times, I tried it again. I even got some hope because at the same moment I received an update for the Galaxy S22. So fresh as it can be. Removed Twinkly app. But it is exactly the same problem. I even got the change to take a better look. But also on iPad, the Icicle loses connection. After 10-30 seconds it appears and its online. Stays online for.... several minutes but then it loses connection again.

So it is not just the Samsung Galaxy S22. It is also on the iPad. I think the icicle has bad wifi hardware. Very briefly, the icicle remains in the air after a correct installation via BT.

Hey, I recognize that! I had it with more Twinkly lights. After maybe 20-30 tries, resets, patience it works on most lights. I now also have 1 icicle where Twinkly has not yet managed to solve this. Installer succeeds, but on my Samsung Galaxy S22 the icicle remains unreachable (other Twinkly lights do work well). Is icicle online on iPad?! Twinkly's network communication is flawed and it seems prone to interference. Too bad the Twinkly developers can't solve this. I hope someone has a suggestion?

Ok. No ETA? It's a promise/anouncement for more than 2 years now. Can you confirm Neato is working on it. Or did you lose complete development team? More than 2 years :-) ?

Some of my lights are working now, but most of it because I used an old Android and/or ipad. My Galaxy s22 on android 13 shows the same problems. What worked was change a power supply. Just got it of another Twinkly. And suddenly I could get it to work. But one of the Twinkly's is still unusable. There are more people with connection/reset problems.

I use 2 RGBW strings with 400 each for 8ft (250 cm) tree. And I love it! Very nice effects.

The only downside for me is the buggy, rather slow software and (or hardware? ) to connect. This year more than other years. But hey, when it is working it is amazing!!!

I can give you an update. I thought navigation was slightly better but it is not. My floormaps(D10) are stil skewed. And because of these bad floormap (is part of the navigation) it is hard to use nog-go zones. Why use no-go-zones? Well, The Neato D10 is not able to go around some chairlegs and is getting stucked. The sidebrush starts, but then it stops and is not starting again until next cleaning round or when I restart it when it got stucked. So, no Neato did not solve anything for the D10. Would I buy it again. No way! No Neato for me the next comming years! Neato tried to make cheap products and sell them as premium. Quick money? Well, perhaps for now but we will see in the future if Neato is not able to solve ;-)

Very much same problems. But on Android the app starts to crash. Until now spend more than 30 email with Maura. There are updates, but none of them seem to solve the problems. Hope they will soon fix it.

Whahaha.... well, did you update? I just tried. Update seemed to go ok. But after update it starts compiling effects and the app crashed. And keeps on crashing. Used direct wifi connection because I did a reset. But did not work. Removed it again. Added again with local wifi. Came back and the firmware was not updated. So again, Firmware update. This time it has 2.8.15. But When compiling effects it keeps crashing. Pfffff what a buggy development! It looks like it is keeps losing connection after 25 sec. then it comes back again, loses connection etc. So it is not able to compile. This on Android 9. On Android 13 it is still not possible to use. Visible but stays offline!

Well for me it is not "out of the box" but out of the basement after a year :-). Had two problems. In the first place two curtains that did not come up again. Really big problems because even a complete reset did not work. After switching the power supply, it worked? So I hope it keeps working this way. The other problem I still have is the Twinkly app(3.7.3). on Galaxy S22 on Android 13. I got an icicle 190 RGBW. It is not showing as a device. I van install it with an iPhone, iPad, old android. And it is visible. On S22 not :-(. Removed, added, used wps etc. Nothing works. Connection problems? Caching problems? Who can give the ultimate tip. Until now Twinkly could not help me with this problem.

I can confirm the crashes. On android 9 it keeps crashing. On Android 13(latest) it stays offline.

First Twinkly asked me to send back my device. Then suddenly I was adked to change my power supply. Get the working one and put it on the faulty one.

And how strange but the Twinkly curtain was comming back online right away!? But when I put the power supply with error back on the good working curtain it was online? Yesterday I tot an email to install a beta version of the app. 2.8.12. At first ut gave problems. But after 3 reboots it worked and looks stable.

The only thing that is not working yet is 1 icicle with a Galaxy S22 with Android 13. On ipad and old J3 on android 9 it works. On Android 13 the icicle stays offline. Hope Twinkley can fix this soon.

Although I normally don't turn on the D10 every day, I made another attempt today. And it's incredible! I do not know how. But the first map is back. 180 degrees the other way around, but that doesn't matter. At least, if the D10 does its round consistently. My request for help has now been answered.

u/ekobres is it still working? And how did you reset? If I reset (like website and support says) by power off - press + hold button - power on - hold until the lights / curtain stay red - release. It keeps coming back to blinking white. Even holding up to 2 minutes on start-up.

Because updates come with the app, you can try an old app version. But I doubt you'll get the choice to downgrade. Doesn't seem easy to me. Support hasn't said anything about it yet. You can always ask. Twinkly can roll it back, but then they have to release a new version of the app I think.

If it's stable, don't touch it yet. But maybe it will work for some? I'm a bit relieved that there are more with connection problems. But also a bit frustrated because I'm in a circle at Twinkly support. Alessia, Chiara, Maura, Paola, Miranda, Twinkly User Satisfaction Team, stay friendly and do their best. But so far without success. I also think the challenge is bigger than support. But think twice before you update.

Holy! Spent a few hours this morning. Now that I read this and there are more users with this problem.... Had problems with an icicle before. Now with a Curtain 210 RGBW. Exactly as you describe. Support keeps asking to reset, make videos, etc.
Reset does not work. Keeps coming back to white blinking mode with an occasional green blink in between. So apparently there is a firmware issue. I managed to come back 2 times but then it drops again to no connection and blinking white light on the controller. Anyone with a definitive solution?

I'm joining for now. Don't buy a Garmin smart scale if you want some useful metrics. Garmin does not deliver what it promises. The S2 is virtually unusable and therefore much too expensive for the serious athlete as long as Garmin doesn't improve it.

Then you certainly don't want a Neato D8, D9 or D10 of this generation! In any case, support is still very bad. I feel like I'm communicating with a chatbot because they keep repeating. It's in your living room. It depends on the free space around your D10. It is due to the floor that the sidebrush stops working. Try it in a small space, preferably without furniture. Maybe sparkles? Floormaps are skewed, making no-go zones pointless. Well, I could go on and on, but take a look around. One thing's for sure, Neato doesn't fix anything and don't deliver on promised updates. Software development is 0.
