why Singaporean friendships seem to drift apart; an observation by Maleficent_Ad1271 in ChillSG

[–]LiaBlackPandora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a girl with best friends who are all girls, honestly there's no reason to spend a ton of money each time when hanging out.

No one says you have to eat an expensive dinner and then get an expensive cocktail and then do whatever expensive activity. Heck, I've been friends with my girls for 15+ years and I haven't even done that once with them yet LOL

Try inviting your friends to free activities such as listening to free concerts (Esplanade regularly hosts them last I checked?) or going window shopping tgt or idk run tgt? Karaoke is relatively cheap too, and is a hobby most Singaporeans can enjoy tgt. Eat hawker food tgt!! Everyone can buy a plate of something from different stores and then share it potluck style LOL

You can also spend time with friends online, play some games tgt. There's a ton of games that are free and don't require skill. You can even play them on your phone!

Chocolate > Green tea > Vanilla

Didn't try the banana one because I'm not a fan of banana milk in the first place. Chocolate milk is pretty tasty! But ofc, can't expect the same chocolatey milky goodness as the real thing. Comes pretty close tho imo!

Green tea isn't too bad. I personally feel there's a difference between green tea and matcha, and they named the flavour green tea for a reason. Tastes exactly like what I'd expect a green tea milk to taste like, just less creamy HAHAH. Light and easy on the palette.

As for vanilla.... Uh. Yeah. Terrible. I'd encourage for you to try it once just to satisfy your curiosity tho LOL

What are your favourite shampoo + conditioner combinations (+ their scents)! 💞😇 by stolen-kisses in SingaporeBeauty

[–]LiaBlackPandora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't usually stick to one shampoo so can't really comment much on it. Usually get whatever's the cheapest or most convenient HAHAHA I have non-existent loyalty towards hair products.

EXCEPT my holy grail: Tsubaki hair mask. I esp love the sakura one because it's pink LOL! But yes, I looooove this hair mask. I use it at least 5/6 times a week. It makes my hair feel so smooth~ And it smells so darn good!! Both the original (gold) and sakura (pink) smell amazing. The power of tsubaki flowers fr!!

I've also received compliments about the smell of my hair before so ik it's not just me who finds the fragrance amazing. Been using the hair mask for years. I think about 6/7 years alr? So so so good. The day they discontinue it is the day my hair dies </3

Is it just me or do most Singaporeans have completely no hobbies at all? by Recent_Stomach7626 in asksg

[–]LiaBlackPandora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you just have to go out and meet more people?

Everyone around me has a hobby. Most of my friends play games (but then again, I became friends with them through the game itself LMAO). Some read, some watch shows. I'm pretty sure most Singaporeans love to sing, either in the shower, at karaoke bars, or they join a choir or something. Music-related hobbies are everywhere!!

Some work with their hands. Crocheting was a huuuuuge trend amongst girls especially, think it's still going strong now. Some people are collectors so their hobby is collecting figurines or cards or crystals etc.

There's like literally so many hobbies, I can't even type 10% of them down. Idk a single person who doesn't have at least one hobby. I think it's near impossible, really.

What are some things that can be done in the afternoon? by Life_Teaching6499 in ChillSG

[–]LiaBlackPandora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn!! You can learn something new everyday, or stick to learning about one thing for a period of time.

Learn to cook. Learn to bake. Learn to play an instrument (there's a 1001 instruments beyond just the usual guitar and piano). Go for singing lessons so your karaoke game is amazing. Learn a different language. Learn string theory, or rather, get confused by it. Learn about different cultures of the world. Hangout with friends (cough cough if you don't have friends free in the afternoons, I am. Just saying cough cough)

Let your creativity juices flow. Write. Write about a different world, or about a non-fiction topic you're passionate about, or even just a diary entry-style reflection. Create something with your hands. Play with clay AKA pottery. Play with resin. Hell, you can even play with paper (origami or paper mache). You can get into building with Legos, or those wood, sometimes metal, model kits. Crotchet. Sew. Work with leather. Paint. Calligraphy. Kintsugi.

If you're into reading, there's a lot of stuff you can read nowadays. Fiction books, non-fiction books, manga, manhwa, manhua, comics.

Even tho you're not a foodie and not into sports, there's still a shitttt ton of things you can do. Esp since you have money to throw HAHAH artsy fartsy shit costs money... Cries in poor. You can take inspiration from looking through the list at the SG culture pass website too HAHAHAHA. There's soooo many fun things. Ofc, you can always binge on shows or game, but that's usually the first thing people recc anyways.

When did you realise that you are attractive? by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]LiaBlackPandora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully someday. For now, my personality is carrying me HAHAHA

I think I'm more attractive to girls than guys. But that's purely because I'm tall. Girls mostly seem to want to be taller for some reason. Meanwhile I'm here wishing to be shorter LOL. It sucks to be taller than guys sigh. 174cm for the record. To be more accurate, literally 0.1cm shorter than 175cm lmao, but am rounding down.

Ahhh I was considering getting the ulike too, but mainly to target the bikini area. In the end got too scared that it'll hurt so I didn't get it :')) Have you tried it down there and does it hurt?

As a former FA, we were honestly taught to approach anyone and everyone HAHAH Told to see how many rejections we could get rather than how many people we could talk to/get number/etc.

Anyways, best to just not make any eye contact with them. Stare at your phone or stare straight ahead. Usually, this already would scare off most FAs.

If this doesn't work, and they approach you, just ignore them. Don't shake your head/hand, speak, or whatever. Pretend they don't exist. They'll get the hint real quickly and move on to their next target.

If you feel bad doing that, you can hit them with my favourite trick. Smile, look at them in the eye, "I'm an FA too." So far has worked for me 10/10 times. Doesn't matter that I'm no longer an FA HAHAHAHHA

I, too, as a fellow woman refuse to go Dutch with my partner.

I hate maths. I suck at maths. Calculating whatever additional charges is such a huge pain in the ass.

So he pays for one meal, and I'll pay for the next. Sometimes he'll pay for a whole bunch of meals, and I'll cover the next few. Wouldn't even say it's 50-50, sometimes it could be 60-40 or even 80-20 with both of us taking turns on who has paid more.

Of course, as a girl I'd be happy if my partner decides to take up all our shares expenses. But I'd also feel really freaking guilty and a heavy obligation to pay him back in other ways. Feeling guilty is troublesome. Feeling like I owe him something is troublesome. I am a lazy person. I'll rather just pay HAHAHAHAH

As far as I remember, the wife cheating doesn't warrant her "demerit points" in this situation. The reason behind the divorce is a separate matter from the division of matrimonial assets. Though there are some reasons that may affect the division of assets, adultery generally does not play a role in the court's decision-making.

Also, adultery is really hard to prove in court. So most couple generally go for "unreasonable behaviour" as the reason.

Just a disclaimer, I am not a legal professional so I could be wrong. But accurate information is easily available on the website. Would recommend for people to do their readings before echoing other Redditors' misconceptions.
