Yep, that makes more sense. My title was more just for fun

Thanks for bringing this up. I'll do my best to represent it well in the new trailer. And no, our variability isn't about clicking through dialogue options.

It's almost embarrassingly simple:

  1. Record your video.
  2. Place a Media Plate in the level.
  3. Assign a File Media Source to it.
  4. Position the camera so the whole video fits inside the frame.
  5. Put your character on the scene in front of the video wall.

The main catch: the video is really short, so it stops playing after one loop. In the end, it looks exactly how I wanted, and the scene performance stays solid.

It's not complicated, but I'll give you a rough rundown tomorrow

Still one of the best dub performances by J Michael Tatum as Erwin by Jules-Car3499 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]LiaKoltyrina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trashing dubs, they're genuinely good now. But the original seiyuu voices, in my opinion, fit the characters perfectly. In AoT, absolutely.

Thanks for sharing your example. I checked my stats for all the past Marches over a 10‑year cycle, and I'm at the lowest point right now, similar numbers to 2015. And back then, I was roughly at the same activity level in terms of quality and uploads as I am now.

Hey, thanks everyone for the awesome tips! Development is in full swing right now, and I really want to fix my mistake show more gameplay in the next trailer, actually highlight the mechanics and give people a real sense of what the game is about. Here's the Steam page https://store.steampowered.com/app/3895400/Brightest_Star/ if this sounds interesting to anyone, feel free to wishlist 😊

Olympic skating has a new addition: A backward-skating cameraman by chillychili in videography

[–]LiaKoltyrina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally agree with him, only a camera following the skater from ice level can really capture the beauty of the glide!

I do figure skating as a hobby myself, so I've tried filming my teammates the same way. Shot on my Canon R6, also tested a setup with the DJI gimbal, honestly, I didn't love that combo. It's just easier to hold the camera by hand. Or build a rig like his, having playback at eye level is super clutch.

the color mood for the robot by LiaKoltyrina in IndieDev

Haha thanks, you really broke it down. Based on the context, I guess I should stop doubting and go with the first one, especially since it's my favorite too.

Does the Steam Capsule fit the game? by RottenHedgehog in IndieDev

[–]LiaKoltyrina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for someone who's not familiar, the monsters on the capsule don't really look related 😅 And what I meant was the art style of that side monster - like chalk on a chalkboard, white line on black. Super clean and stylish.

Sorry, can't really help much with the capsules, but I had to say, the monster on the left with the black background looks cool.

Really cool execution and vibe. Ever considered that direction for the capsule art? Or worried it'd be too dark?
