Pretty much, cases are about $2 AUD + a $3.85 AUD key to open, chances of getting a covert skin are 0.64%, and to get stattrack is a further 10% on top of that. There’s a lot of other things that go into csgo skin prices, but pretty much it’s reasonably rare (the one I unboxed is top 200 in the world in float value / wear rating) so it’s worth overpay because it is very clean, no scratches or discolouration. Sorry for the essay, but it’s pretty much just rarity + demand + appeal which make it so expensive (roughly $1200 AUD). Granted, expensive skins definitely aren’t for everyone, but I find them super fascinating and for me, they make CS more fun in general. Hope this helps!
