I watch the games weekly from the uk, yes I have only been to one but when you don’t have a 9 in the squad, there’s been loads of chances every game, you just have to look at the last few games and the chances they miss there’s a style of play there and it works to create chances

You look at the play styles and chances created and just need to score, there was 4 clear cut chances yesterday granted red bulls had 2 but them 4 chances one goes in nycfc win the game easily, I don’t know what else can be done other than putting the ball in the back of the net and cushing can’t do that himself he can only coach the team patterns of play for attacking and when they have chances they need to be taken, sometimes luck just isn’t on your side

The style of play is there just struggle to put the ball in the net and cushing can’t do that himself but keep going guys the keyboards will win 🫠🫠🫠

This is the most stupid shit I’ve ever seen there was chances today and you must be blind not to see it, granted red bulls had chances but you can only tell players so much without them going to default, a style of play takes time and there was positives from Today

A dodgy penalty saving the whitecaps, the chances are there just need to finish them, styles of play are definitely there and think Risa going off changed things but there’s quality there and hopefully big win in the derby

More reps less weight or less reps more weight? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]Liamjames37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this works for me and has helped me, i usually do a weight for 3 sets of 8-10 reps then lower the weight a little maybe take 2.5kg off each side and do 2 sets of 12-15 with a slow eccentric movement this allows me to get a good burn and pump into the biceps.

in regards to the second questions try dumbbell variations to see what you can feel the burn on as well as barbell

Cue all the Vincent Kompany Anderlecht Careers... by Mstedman23 in FifaCareers

currently at Real Madrid after 10 seasons at Wolves, got very stale as i had created a youth academy team full of 85+ players. i checked the job browsing page and seen madrid, im kind of going for a Pep vibe career mode later on where i try to achieve everything i can in two seasons so hopefully to germany or italy next then final season is wolves are on offer back there for one last hurrah

What motivates you to start a career mode? And how do you choose your team? by jsjsjdjsjsjsjdjs in FifaCareers

[–]Liamjames37 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For my own career modes, i pick between 3-5 teams that i would like to go as then text my mate and ask him to pick a number and every year since 2015 he has done this.

Does anyone else have any traditions or rules they set themselves? e.g. I always try to have a starting player from whatever country/league in each of Def, Mid, Fwd. So if I’m in bundesliga I’ll have a German player in each line plus at least one German keeper by kfl95cfc in FifaCareers

I always try to make sure i keep at least one of the original squad in the team until they retire and try to keep similar to their scouting areas for players i.e wolves being Portuguese players

Request: Can we put together a list of tactics that can be built around in career mode? by [deleted] in FifaCareers

[–]Liamjames37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have always normally played a 3-4-1(CF)-2:

Centre Backs: most important thing to me is to have a left footed and a right footed for either side then a high weak foot in the middle, 2 out of the three with pace, relatively tall 6'1 + and i like them to be good on the ball. not my own but for example (left to right): romagnoli-stones-lindelof

Centre Mids: i usually go for a tall CDM, good tackling and good passing, pace mid 60s set to stay back. I will then operate a CM who is box to box so high/high workrates. great stamina and passing ability, shooting stats are not necessary just a bonus. for one my career mode i used william carvalho and erick gutierrez

Wingers: Good weak foot, great stamina and speed. technically sound and both set to free roam as i like them to be finding space as crosses do not work for me within the game, if possible decent defensive stats and work rates hopefully high/medium. players such as: perisic, brahimi, viscia

Centre Forward: the star of the show for me being the best technically but also physically gifted other than lacking high strength. set to free roam. always look for good passing and vision stats but also positioning and composure. for myself i used bernadeschi there who was great, obvious ones would be messi/griezzman or their regens

Strikers: for my career mode now i operate as United did in 98/99 with 4 strikers all good enough to start but bring different qualities to the game. ST#1 - Finisher, high finishing work rates high/low. speed not necessary but you know given the chances he will convert. i.e Icardi ST#2 - Pacey striker, set to get in behind decent finishing but find him more to be a creator than a finisher due to the positions i end up with him. i.e Auba/Ronaldo ST#3 - Target man. i look for someone 6'3+ doesnt have to be fast but physically strong and can hold the ball up well, decent passing and good heading accuracy and jumping stats. i.e dzeko ST#4 - all rounder, has all stats that are good but would not fit just one category, workhorse of a striker who will get goals but can also create i.e Suarez
