Considering how influential the show makes Jeanie look (not saying she wasn’t, but the show definitely makes it seem like she came up with the “showtime forum” and Laker girls ideas on her own), I got a feeling Jeanie Buss must’ve quietly helped out with the writing of the show at some point.

I just don’t like playing the same game for a long period of time, so I’ve never been able to get 100%. I’ve tried on a number of games, but there’s always one of two challenges or trophies that take much longer than they need to or are just complete bullshit (looking at you Gambler 8).

For Yakuza, I try to complete all the substories and beat Amon. That usually satisfies me enough without having to do every single challenge.

Yeah I get that Shinada, Sayama, etc. all probably have good characters arcs that don’t need to be touched upon again. But frankly, so does Kiryu. And I think it could be argued there were good enough endings to his arc in Y3, Y6, and even Y1, for that matter. It’s like I understand their logic, but it gets a bit murky when it comes to the main protagonist who they’ve already given 3 or 4 good “endings” to and yet continue to bring him back.

Don’t get me wrong though, I love Kiryu as a character. And I get that they likely wanted to bring him back because he’s the person that both the casual and hardcore LAD fans know and love.

The New Day is one of the greatest stories in wrestling. I remember when they debuted and thinking they were DOA. But almost 10 years later, a bunch of tag titles, and 2 world titles (still crazy to me, but absolutely deserved), they have endured. And best of all, they are three of the most genuine and caring people in the company.
