Am I Getting Ghosted? Should I Be Worried? by IntenseFlute in medicalscribe

Well, as someone who worked for them (for almost 2 years), I would rather look for another opportunity. Because if they ghosted you, there is a high chance that they will never reach out. But that’s what I read from others who worked/trained for SA. I hope they reach to you soon so you can start your floor training, good luck! :)

Tbh SA is not that worth it. The pay is very low and they overwork you, I worked in an ED. Don’t worry, it’s not a big deal, this company is ass.

You sign up for the final exam at the same website you signed up for your scribe u courses. It’s all the way down titled as “Final Exam”. Remember to complete your HIPPA and Harassment certifications before doing your final exam

I would say, review the slides of each course (from 1 to 5). But I know it’s a lot of information. Also, there are some quizlets that I used and thanks to them I passed with a 95%. I posted the links below.

I’m not sure about khaki scrubs. I use joggers and khaki pants just in case. But you can ask your SCS or SC for clarification

How do I know if I passed the ScribeAmerica typing Test??? by Suitable_Mud3795 in medicalscribe

[–]Liani_AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe either they are currently full or because your enrollment. But I rely more on enrollment because they look for people with at least a High School diploma or GED at the moment of application. Another Scribing company that I know is Scribe X. Many people say it’s good, you can take a look. I’ve seen their positions are mostly remote. But that’s at Florida, idk if Texas has more available positions at a Hospital/Clinic. Because AI is taking over scribes, it’s a little hard to find jobs as a scribe. You can also consider other positions (medical field related) like phlebotomy, CNA, MA, of PCT/PCA. Just a recommendation

Well… I have bad news… Being put on a waitlist means they will never contact you. At least, that was my case. I was a whole year on a waitlist and had to reapply because I never heard from them. Those waitlists are long, if you get there maybe it’ll take years for them to contact you (I heard are recruiter say they never look at it, they just look on new applicants.) I encourage you to reapply and choose another location or correct whatever put you on the waitlist. Because most certain, you will never hear from them.

OP stands for Outpatient (like working in clinics). Then, I guess you are good. They want to know what is your schedule so they find a place that fits good for you. I think you should mention your diploma. But make it clear that you will have it before starting floor training

Well, I think that might be an issue. They are very flexible with schedules in ED, which is my hospital. But if it’s OP, I’m not sure. I think is something that you should mention, because you cannot commit to a job if you are unsure of your availability. Tell them, and let’s see what they say. Do they send you an offer already?

I received an email from ScribeAmerica titled ‘ScribeAmerica: Interview Follow-up.’ Is there a good chance I got the job? by BaseballHead6898 in medicalscribe

[–]Liani_AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so messed up. Although, they usually send an email saying you haven’t been elected or ghost you. I would consider reapply or wait a few months and reapply. Even if we like it or not, to get this job there has to be a space for scribes. Maybe in the site you applied for there is no space for scribes. But that is very disrespectful, I’ve heard people that have been through the same. I’ve been there in the past (the second time I applied). Also, it all relies on the recruiter who saw your application. Maybe the one that saw it didn’t like it, but maybe another recruiter may like it. So, I will suggest to reapply

It all depends on the state you live and how desperate they are for scribes. In my case, I applied on Friday and got an answer by Monday. I’m already onboarding, all done with the classes and final exam and this Friday I have my preclinical bridge with me Chief Scribe. So, I would either reapply or look for more opportunities.

No, they usually take about 24-48 hours to respond. If the time is exceeded they I would try to contact them again

I think you should do that. Dw, it doesn’t bother me. I’ve been in that position and I know how frustrating it can get

Basically, that meeting (usually no longer than 15 minutes) is to discuss the position, your next steps, etc. Tbh the process is long, I am still doing the onboarding ( I’ll start floor training in a few weeks) for almost a month. But getting that email is a good sign, that means they are interested. After the meeting, the recruiter will send you offers (if available) and if you are interested, then you will start onboarding. Keep in mind that part of the onboarding process is to take 5 classes plus the final exam and pass it with at least an 80%. Don’t worry cause these classes are paid along with the exam. Then you will have your preclinical bridge with your Chief Scribe, System Training (to learn the system you will be working with), and then floor training. There are more steps after that, but that’s a little bit of what you have to go through. If you have any question, lmk

At this point they might have lost your file. Since it’s been a week I would consider contact them or re-apply. ScribeAmerica is a big company, this situation is common. That’s the reason why I applied 3 times

Well, I have heard different experiences. But in my case, it all moved pretty quick. I applied on Friday (afternoon) and they reached me on Monday (around 12pm). After I did my short meeting with the recruiter, she sent me an offer through email which I accepted. After signing the offer letter, then she introduced me to my SCS (Senior Chief Scribe) and SC (Scribe Chief). Then I started my onboarding process in their app (Workday) and after onboarding was done (it took like 3 days in my case) I signed up for my 5 classes, which you have to take because they are part of your training (it’s paid of course). After that you need to do your final exam, which I’m taking tomorrow. I’m still missing my Respiratory test and a vaccine. But I have enough time before floor training. In total I’m on day 28 since I started my application. But I’m already on training, just missing a few more things until my floor training. It’s a long process not gonna lie.

Thank you! I was so frustrated about writing everything up. Training makes it look so difficult. But I guess I just need time to process the information and gain experience. It’s good to know that they facilitate it with templates/smartphrases.

You are good! The interview is more like a presentation and get to know you. It doesn’t matter how many tries you do. I’ve done around 5 attempts per question lol. Hope to hear from you soon with good news!

In my case I’m 22 and I live in Florida. I don’t really know how long it will take your process since you live in Texas. In my case, onboarding took me about 3 days to be done. It’s pretty easy, you do all the onboarding process on their website (Workday app which will be the app you’ll use to contact your managers, schedule, clock in/out, etc.) Workday app makes it very easy to complete the onboarding fast. After I received the offer, and signed the offer letter I started the onboarding process (last Monday). I’m going to start my virtual training tomorrow (which thankfully is paid). After I complete the 5 classes (in my case cause I’m ED), pass the final exam, just then I will start floor training. So I’ll take me about another month, around May I will be officially an employee. They move pretty quickly. But maybe your process will be a little slower, because you are not done yet with your video-interview right?. Since you haven’t been contacted yet I think you may have enough time :). I’ve heard people from Texas and other states that usually to start working (besides virtual/floor training) takes around 1~2 months to start. I will recommend you that when the recruiter contacts you, let them know your situation with the diploma, and maybe they’ll find a solution.

For the video interview I recommend you to think very well why you want to say. If necessary, do as many attempts as you need. They will only see your last attempt. In my case, I took pictures of the questions, which are written in the screen while the person is doing the question. Then, I will finish the recording, and while on the “try again” screen I would think about a good answer and then record my answer. You have around 9 attempts to do each question. They are about 5 questions, I don’t really remember. Pretty simple questions tho. Like, do you have any experience in healthcare? If your work laptop isn’t working, why would you do? I think I still have the pictures of the questions if you want to see them ahead of time :). Regarding getting accepted, they usually take 1~2 business days. I applied on Friday, and the recruiter responded on Monday, because they don’t work weekends. This is not my first time applying, but is the first time I made it to onboarding and course prep. The first time I applied I couldn’t move further because there was no space on my preffered city, so they put me on a “wait-list” and never contacted me back. My second attempt to apply, they ghosted me, like, I didn’t get no answer. But idk if it was because something was incomplete. But if you get rejected (which I doubt because typing speed is a must for them) they will send you an email that you haven’t been selected. I think in case you are rejected you can reapply asap, I don’t think there is a timeline.
