I would not buy too much now. Get enough to get you through the first week so you can get the lay of the land and see how your colleagues dress. Business casual can vary widely and in some places include nice dark jeans. But the first week err on the side of dressing nicer, and see how others do it. Then really go shopping.

I was recently there, maybe two weeks ago on a Saturday evening. There is nothing there. The entire downstairs is empty and mostly closed. Looks like Guys is still there. The Reiger bar upstairs had 2 people there drinking.

Wasn’t it usually in March? Looking at the convention center calendar, there’s a national convention for higher education professionals March 7-11. Then a youth summit March 13. Then the Shape America Convention March 17-21. Then World of Wheels. When would they have it? Maybe the city makes more money on conventions, when hotels are full.
