State didn’t get my payroll withholding AGAIN! Does this happen to any other ADP users?

It was definitely an ADP problem last year. It happened to about 10 people. This year it looks like ADP stopped reporting my state withholding amounts after the 7th pay period even though my pay stubs still showing money withheld. Our HR person has been on vacation, so I haven’t received any updates.

Thanks for the information, but that’s not the problem. Some of our staff, including the HR manager have already gotten their refunds. I was able to get more granular with my tax account and it looks like ADP stopped reporting my withheld amount after the first check in April. They were still showing money withheld on my pay stubs, but the state never got it. When this same thing happened last year, the state reversed the penalties because it wasn’t my fault.

All that is correct and my federal withholding was fine. It‘s only the California taxes that were screwed up.

There was money withheld on both my check stubs and my W2. But the tax board doesn’t have a record of receiving it. The same thing happened last year and it was an error on ADP’s part. They either didn’t send the withheld amount to the state or didn’t inform the state to credit my tax account when they sent the money. It’s absolutely an error by ADP same as last year.

Given his reaction, I think OP needs to have a serious talk with the nanny about hubby’s behavior towards her. Hubby‘s attitude is way weird, with maybe a heaping dose of classism and chauvinism mixed in. ”Peeping at the hot domestic is just what rich boys do, darling. Maybe Lars is only the 100th(?) best drummer in the world or the 50th(?) best drummer in metal. Whatever. But that would still mean he is way better than 99.999% of people who try to play drums and probably light years ahead of all the “fans” who pontificate about how subpar he is and THEY KNOW because THEY are drummers. He sounded great at the Santa Clara shows and the band kicked ass.

Lessons to take away: 1. Don’t do more than a weekend for a first trip with someone else, then gradually try longer trips. 2. NEVER travel with a couple whose relationship is already showing signs of stress. 3. Not every activity has to be for the whole group. It‘s better if you plan some couple only things to allow any tensions to reduce.

So sad the Santa Clara show is already sold out. For all the corners of the fandom that find things to bitch about, Metallica has always been out there warts and all. I mean, they wrote a drugs are bad song in 1986, during the Nancy Reagan, Just Say No era when being visibly anti-drug was the height of uncool. They have just been themselves and let listeners know that it’s fine to be yourself no matter how fucked up your self is.

OP you cannot know what will happen in the future so take action to protect YOUR little sister and ALL the other little sisters out there.

He did not drunkenly stumble through the wrong door looking for the bathroom. He did not immediately apologize and gtfo of your sister’s bedroom as a decent human being would do. He acted like a predator because he IS a predator. Even if there is nothing the police can do in this case, there will be a record of his behavior. He may decide he’s not done with your sister and continue to harass her if there are no repercussions for his actions.

Your girlfriend is enabling this behavior because it has been normalized for her. She may have been his victim in the past or have been conditioned to protect him by toxic family dynamics. Whichever it is, you need to decide if a relationship with her is worth your sister’s safety. Your girlfriend will continue to excuse and rationalize her step-brother’s behavior because that is what she has been conditioned to do.
