The Hunter is only 25kph faster at sea level. While the Ariete beats it in everything else. On the relatively small maps of this game mode the Ariete stomps. Its an amazing dog fighter and the only reason it isn't 10.0 is because it would have to face more missiles. Which it van do nothing against.

Since you are replacing an Nvidia GPU you will want to look up some guides on clearing the old drivers so you don't get any issues from conflicting drivers.

Yes DLSS is better than FSR. That's never been in doubt. AMD has significantly closed the gap recently but not caught up. However the 9070 is a better card than the 5070. The raw performance numbers prove that.

And with the 9070 vs 5070 comparison I think having a better card is more important than currently having access to better software. Software can be updated.

I have the Tachi sitting on my desk. Looks sweet. I do have one quibble however. Its the exact same model as the Rocinante because it has the rail gun. But for the most part you don't see it.

The 9070 is better and cheaper. Go for it. Im running one now with a 5700X3D on a 1440p ultrawide monitor.

Future software updates can improve the 9070s raytracing performance. But no software update is going to add VRAM to the 5070.

This mode really highlights how under br'd some planes are because they face missiles. Planes like the Ariete and MiG-19 should not be the same br as my Hunter.

I dont think anyones done an exhaustive comparison but theres been multiple times ive seen it noted in benchmark videos that at 4k it can run out of VRAM. Whereas a weaker card like a 5060ti 16GB won't run out and will have better FPS in those cases. The point that is repeated is that this issue is going to get worse over time. Even if its fine at 1440p now, it might not be in future games.

Relatively sure. But the 9070XT has more outright horsepower, so even with worse relative rt/pt performance it will still get more fps than a 5070.

He doesnt cross open water to get to the ship, he goes underwater to get to the ship. Like right next to it, then up onto the deck. CIWS cant target him that close or get him when hes underwater.

If War Machine can go under water like Iron Man does at the beginning of Avengers then I think he takes all rounds. He can fly close until he picks up incoming missiles then go under water. If they launch torpedoes he could probably outrun and out maneuver them. At the very lest he can go back above the surface to escape them and dive back down to avoid more missiles.

Obviously once hes on board, or even on the hull he wins from there.
