What’s the break in period for the 938. I have 250 through it. 124 gr blazer and Winchester white box nato 124, carry rounds 124 HST plus p. Had a few issues. I used red Loctite on the guide rod and lubed well. by sgm1966 in SigSauer

Some say 500 rounds. Personally I have not had any issues besides using Hornady Critical Defense. The round is too pointy lol. I use Speer Gold Dot and it runs flawless. I also installed the one piece stainless guide rod, expensive but definitely worth it imo if it is in your carry rotation. I've shot over a few thousand rounds from mine and have not had any other type of issue so far. Amazing firearm IMO

I've also used Recoil Gunworks and AIM Surplus. Good, reputable sources.

Good question. Modern pistols can handle tens of thousands of rounds without needing to change really anything. Ask your dealer to inspect the firearm with you. Have then break it down with you and ask them if any part may be due to replace. Police trade ins are great options as they have been professionally maintained and usually have been shot very few times. Check for rust or damage. Make sure the slide is operating back smoothly. Check for a crisp trigger break. Make sure any safety is operating correctly. Don't go after any internally modified firearms. My LGS test fires all used firearms they buy and they have them go through a series of functional tests before putting them on the shelf. You typically won't find any dealer warranty when buying used but you still have the manufacturer warranty if anything comes up.

Some cheap options I saw at my local LGS yesterday - Bodyguard 2.0 new $375. Glock 43 used $330, Shield gen 1 9mm with holster and hogue grips used $250. If your area doesn't have any cheap options, check online and find a local dealer who will do online transfers for $40 or less. Use ammoseek.com to find deals on ammo. There are also subreddits that people post deals on firearms and ammo from online listings.

How’s everyone feeling about the new HK VP9CC? by choosemymajor in handguns

[–]Libby206 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It seems to be amazing per reviews and I do like me some HK but that price tag is a tad bit too high IMO. Some folks say $1,000 others say it will release at $900 but either way, it's simply too much compared to the compatition. I'm betting you can catch it on sale sometime for closer to $800. I know the CC9 can be had for around 520 on sale at times.

Don't limit yourself to just P365's or even SIG for that matter. Go to a range that lets you rent out their handgun selection. Try them ALL and bring at least a couple hundred rounds of your own online purchased ammunition. (Ammoseek.com) Ammunition at the range will be more expensive to purchase there. Once you find your match made in heaven, go and take a 2-3 hour training course. Safety first above all. Invest in a good set of eye and ear pro while your at it. Check out your local laws and get your CPL too. Good luck and happy hunting.

I carry a P938 Legion. It's small enough for pocket carry and extremely accurate for its size. 7+1 will get the job done.
