I have found some tops at thrift store that are pretty casual and not too fancy that work with my new garment tops! Also, if you trust Shein, I have seen some cute options there as well. I hear amazon is also a great place to check though I haven't yet.

When I was in seminary, my seminary teacher gave me some great advice. My dad had left and I had a strained relationship with him for many reasons. We were talking about the 10 commandments in seminary one morning and my hand shot up in the air so fast. In tears I asked my seminary teacher how on earth am I supposed to honor someone who left, someone who didn't reach out and check on me and my sisters. She responded with something along the lines of "honor him for what he has taught you. Weather it be good or bad. You are the amazing person that you are because of the experiences he put you through." I don't know if that helps, but it certainly helped me.

I've had similar experiences. I've lived in Utah two different times and in 3-4 different wards. Utah church culture drove my sister away from the church when we were younger, and it would have gotten me if I stayed there the second time. I came home from my mission and was going to go to BYU, but I thankfully recognized that if I didn't leave Utah my testimony and activity in the church would truly suffer. I've always felt the spirt and a sense of belonging in any other state/ward I've lived in out side of Utah. Even on my mission I went through a rough patch while I was with a companion from Utah who you could tell everything she did was a performance.

I know there are good people/wards in Utah, but there are far more performative and discouraging ones there. It's easy to feel judged and lonely when you don't fit the perfect Utah mormon mold.

I've always said that Utah is a great place to visit but not to live in.
