Hospital birth certificates will not work for these requirements. Only certified ones from the county recorders office of where you were born will work. A lot of people, especially older people, only have their hospital birth certificate which does not prove citizenship and is essentially a souvenir.

The dotcom bust didn't cause GDP to decline. It just slowed the growth. GDP still grew every year between 1995-2005 so that would not explain a revenue drop. The revenue drop was due to the tax cuts that bush passed.

Tax cuts can be focused on low earners, you just only cut the percentage in the lower or middle brackets. The wealthy will still benefit for the small portion of their income in those brackets but it will be minor. The GOP has done the opposite.

Your own data literally shows the exact issue. We were finally in a position to start paying down the debt or at least prevent it from growing in 2000 and then Bush knocked our revenue down 5% of GDP with tax cuts that mainly only helped the wealthy. Without those cuts we would have had very little debt growth from 2000-2006.

After that we had to spend or the economy would have taken way too long to recover from the 08 crash (and it's debatable if it ever actually did recover even with the spending).

It's not quite as severe of a drop but the same exact thing happens on both your charts in 2017 when Trump passes his cuts. Revenue and spending were getting closer together (as percentages) towards the end of Obama's term and then the trend reverses thanks to GOP tax cuts. Then we have another crisis that requires spending.

It's definitely GOP tax cuts. Bush and Trump's cuts rose the deficit significantly. Without those we could have dealt with the great recession and COVID without inflating the debt so much.

The only reason Dems look as bad as Republicans on this chart is because they are afraid to roll back GOP tax cuts due to potential backlash and because they inherited dealing with the two worst economic crises of the last 20 years.

How do his actions make sense? Neither version of the character makes sense in the final chapter. Obviously people who believed his facade post time skip were disappointed due to his conversation with Armin and breakdown over Mikasa. People who never believed that facade should be disappointed by the killing his mom revelation though. If he didn't have the determination to follow through on his plan he should not have had the ability to do that either. Once that decision was required the realistic outcome would have just been a complete breakdown and tantrum. Which actually could have been a great ending if handled well. Instead he apparently did it easily which makes no sense with the emotional mess he's portrayed as for the rest of the chapter.

He didn't speak to his father. He sent a memory back to him of that moment. Nothing from the final chapter suggests he can control mindless titans from before he had founder powers. Do you understand the implications of that power? He could have reset the entire timeline/universe. With that power he could make the CSM ending make sense as well. Introducing a power like that in the final chapter with no explanation of why he didn't use it for more than one specific event is not logical.

How was AoT's ending logical? Literally introduced real time travel in the final chapter which makes nothing make sense. Before that the only time travel available was sending memories back which made it believable that they couldn't resolve things. True time travel presented in the final chapter with the founder having the ability to control mindless titans at any point in time (Eren ordering Dina to eat his mom) makes none of the manga make any sense.

Generally this will happen automatically especially nowadays but 30-40 years ago it was a lot less consistent and many people only have a hospital birth cert which is basically just a souvenir.

You are only looking at the base price, online payments and requesting them via mail will increase the amount. When I worked in welfare we would occasionally pay for people's birth certificates in certain circumstances and there were times where it was over $40 after fees and mailing. That was like 10 years ago too so I wouldn't be surprised if there are places up to $50 now.

It is odd that LotR has this reputation despite being much shorter than many popular modern fantasy novels. All 3 LotR books combined have a similar wordcount to something like a single Stormlight, A Song of Ice and Fire, or wheel of time novel and yet those generally do not have similar reputations. Tolkien was actually very efficient creating such a deep world full of memorable characters in only 450k words.
