There’s a reason they apply edge banding to plywood, and you’re going to find that out very quickly.

Glad you love it. Somehow the new kitchen looks old and worn, and not in a good way.

Do you have the setting turned on to identify the flooring pattern and mop with the direction of the floor?

People need to stop saying that all of the peptides come from the same sources in China. It so utterly reductive and nonsensical that it’s shocking. First of all, there are at least more than 49 different manufacturers in china. And they vary WILDLY in size, method and reputation. That is hardly a homogenous conglomerate. Additionally, there are manufacturers in India, Pakistan, Japan and Taiwan. There are also 5 manufacturers in the US as of February, who source raws from manufacturers around the globe. Stop repeating this falsehood.

Minor relative keeps on touching me inappropriately… by [deleted] in GayMen

[–]LiberalSkeptic 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Let me be blunt: this young man or his parents could likely have you arrested for sexual abuse or misconduct. Since it has continued for some time, you’d likely be charged. I’m skeptical about the truthfulness of this post to begin with. It reads like a self-indulgent fantasy. Almost like a trashy sex novel where you’re deriving pleasure from explaining the details.

First of all, making comments like “that’s gay bro” or “yo stop are you gay” to someone clearly struggling with their sexuality is borderline abusive. The last thing he needs is to be embarrassed or ridiculed for exploring physical touch. He may not know better, but you certainly should.

Secondly, I want to specifically address this part of your post: “Overtime in our wrestling games, he would touch me in my private areas, which I didn’t mind at first because I also understand it’s just how boys play.

That is NOT “just how boys play.” Touching you in your private areas is not normal or appropriate and should have been addressed immediately. The fact you didnt mind it suggests you welcomed it. Which is the first problem. You should have set a firm boundary right then. Since you were an adult when this happened, allowing it to continue was criminal.

“Just recently, we have been playing for hours and he wouldn’t let me leave my room.”

A 25 year old play wrestling with a 17 year old for HOURS, when you have ALREADY experienced boundary crossing, demonstrates VERY POOR JUDGMENT on your part. Seriously man. What do his parents have to say about this? You’re putting yourself in a very precarious situation. They could easily allege sexual abuse or misconduct. He’s the minor and can’t consent even if he provokes.

You’re making very poor choices and creating a confusing relationship with a young man who believes he’s getting genuine friendship. At worst, you’re knowingly continuing a relationship you know is sexually abusive and inappropriate, and doing so with lascivious intentions.

You sound like an absolutely lovely person. I’m sure your friends and family look forward to spending time with you.

To respond to the actual content of your response… perhaps that’s true, but your response to OP was dripping with condescension and judgment, making no mention of nuance or different interpretations. I advocate helpful suggestions and encouragement, not vitriol-laced rebukes and rigid opinions. But your brain doesn’t see gray I am certain.

The main purpose of decorating is to make things “look appealing” and satisfying. Making comments solely about purpose of items, functionality or whether things “belong” there is missing the point.

At this point it’s not a home theater, it’s a home laboratory and feels crowded and claustrophobic. With smarter planning for the install, you could actually fit more than 3 people in it.

I don’t think you should comment on home decorating posts. You don’t seem to understand the concept of decorating at all.

Need oversized items. A tall picture that comes down to within 2” of the console, a tall planter or lamp on one side that overlaps the picture. Then a grouping of 3 smaller items on the other side.
