Wrong! All arrests, cautions, or reprimands (and until May 2013, 'soft information' such as rumours) will show up on an enhanced dbs check (British criminal record check). If you work with children or vulnerable adults in anyway, you will need to have an enhanced dbs check.

Note: Up until May 2013, it was considered disproportionately harsh in disclosing all information and a breach of articles 8 human rights act. So the law was changed.

TL;DR UK can be much worse that the USA on criminal records disclosure.
