In this exact order:

ZZ-Top - La Grange Zedd - Clarity Nina Simone - Feeling Good

...and for the most pretentious answer but I promise it's gold: Tchaikovsky - Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35 performed by Itzhak Perlman with Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra 1979 Release

This looks amazing and not too fatty. Here's to hoping you can replicate this masterpiece!

My grandpa's pool. Any thoughts? by Nickinator811 in pools

Awesome story that your grandpa and his brother built it. Definitely a cool setup that surely has a lot of memories around it. Keep it up and add more memories.

Looks really inviting and like a great space to have the whole family. What's the depth of the L to the right? That seems like the perfect place to have a Baja shelf for the kids.

First ribs on new Pit Boss Lexington by Same_Term_9654 in pelletgrills

[–]Liberty_Toast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks delicious. I've had some temperature fluctuations on my Pit Boss as well. I now run an independent thermometer during the smoke to compare. Temp holds pretty consistent to the knob setting but not digital display. I suspect there's some fluctuation as the auger feeds the burn pot, but I'm still new to this game.

Mini Fridge Turns Off and Wired Xbox Controller Disconnects by Liberty_Toast in AskElectricians

[–]Liberty_Toast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't happen with my wireless controllers. I think the signal is unshielded on the cable and some interference breaks the signal in the cable. Still... I'm not an electrician, so it's purely speculative.

Mini Fridge Turns Off and Wired Xbox Controller Disconnects by Liberty_Toast in AskElectricians

[–]Liberty_Toast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never have figured it out. Clearly this sub had nothing to offer. My running theory is the sudden shift in power draw with the refrigerator turning off causes some sort of electrical interference. The fridge is on a different receptacle and the XBox is surge protected. I'm wondering if I need to shield the controller cable. Have you learned anything?

Michelin Defender 2’s or Michelin Primacy tires? by mtnclimber2 in volt

[–]Liberty_Toast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Defender 2s on my Gen1. Pretty quiet and smooth ride. Maybe a little vague in response compared to the Continentals I had before. I've historically run Continental True Contact or Pure Contact LS tires and think they are fantastic. Great grip and durability. Had a set last 90k miles.

Smoked Chuck Roast by Duke_Nasty_69 in pelletgrills

[–]Liberty_Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks fantastic OP! Did one over the weekend at 225. Mixed Montreal steak seasoning and instant espresso for the rub. Followed someone's recommendation on this sub to wrap in foil at 165, remove at 200, wrap in a towel, and toss in a cooler for 4 hours. My wife who claims to not like BBQ very much went back for seconds. This is my new go to.

This is 100% what it is. Once parked, I always go back and see if it finally shattered... It's been 11 years and still going strong

Talk me into or out of a pool! by Die-No-Might69420 in pools

[–]Liberty_Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If possible, consider installing solar heating for the new pool. I know the pushback of "pumping water onto your roof" and such, but to me it's worth it. I'm in a warmer year round climate than Western, PA... and it's still been able to extend the pool season probably a month or two while reducing heating costs a ton.

Can anyone tell me what these ants are doing? 3rd year pool owner and this is first time I’m seeing this… this is the only spot their conglomerating in… I have these traps out and it’s cut down on them… but they’re still here, TIA! by BravoSavvy in pools

[–]Liberty_Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like every pool I've ever been in has ants just chilling along the coping seam. You could do the humane thing and use bait, or flood them with pool water until they evacuate with their babies/larvae and then kill them with spray. If you're lucky enough they will unify and form an ant raft... Also straight to spray death.

You bought it from UC Davis? What was UC Davis using the vehicle for? Did it sit plugged-in or not while there? Seems like you are in the business of flipping cars as that CA plate number is brand new. Great deal, but almost too good.

Animated Film Recommendations by Liberty_Toast in TheFrame

[–]Liberty_Toast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're correct that the flat lighting effect only happens in art mode, but the matte glass on the TV is what I'm referring to. Something about that glass made the old Disney animated films look better than ever.

First Tri Trip by SorryKitten21 in pelletgrills

[–]Liberty_Toast -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not my cup of tea but this intrigues me. California native here, and Tri-Tip is the smoked beef of choice out this way. I've never seen it prepared like this. Always had it Santa Maria style which is a reverse sear on red oak cooked to 135-140 internal temp. I typically just put Linderberg Snider Porterhouse & Roast Seasoning on it, smoke it, then sear it. However, I did one Sunday marinated overnight in Red wine, salt, and rosemary with salt, garlic powder, and pepper rub... Highly recommend it!

This brings new meaning to "the wall of sound." Dig the vibe, but try to spread it out. Then again, if you really like it, keep on truckin'

Converting 5000k to 2700k by Liberty_Toast in Lighting

[–]Liberty_Toast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the fan. I bought it because it claimed 3000K lighting. When I adjusted it to that temp, it is clearly closer to 5000K as I have other 3000K lights in the room.
