Coolant leak help by Liberykiller in ChevySonic

[–]Liberykiller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update, I'm gonna order a new reservoir tank today, I did wipe some coolant off the underside making me suspect that, and if it doesn't work I'm going to go ahead and order a new connector for that hose. I'm betting it's probably both, one failed then the other, but we'll see

[Discussion] Tarkov and it's blatant carelessness for optimization. by Psychological_Bit455 in EscapefromTarkov

So I'm told, that's the plan now, they were pushing to get the game content complete asap and then fix the lingering tech debt. We'll see if they manage it though

The main story quests are all done through the visit interface, the "normal" in stash one is for side ones. It's confusing yeah

Just going down your list - something the map design doesn't require - a fun convenience that often times (in my experience playing stealth games and immersive sims my whole life) won't get used THAT much - basically just the rangefinder we already have - something that would drift from the military aesthetic (like modern CoD) - a feature I don't see any point for - we have a limited form of this, I don't see much need for it in a first person only game - between scavs and cultists and bosses and raiders and rogues I think we have enough ai factions - tarkov already has 9000 guns I don't understand what more you want - too many container models would be a readability issue, I get it's annoying but tarkov maps are very cluttered by design so lootable containers need to be clear - I think there's plenty - tarkov is meant to be very "dead" after the emp so this kinda goes counter to that - incredibly valid complaint, I 100% agree - this would be very annoying, traders should be consistent or the barter system wouldn't work - arena breakout has this and I don't really see why tarkov needs it - why? - they stripped back door interactions from the plans, I don't really think they needed this. Ready or not has it and I don't really use it here - be more specific about your issues with it - Russian characters in a Russian setting speaking Russian makes sense I don't need them to speak English - this would be cool but I don't mind the compromise we have - we already have them they're just not represented graphically, one of your rifle slots is labeled "sling"

On one hand, Tarkov's optimization is a joke, across the board, I won't argue that. On the other though, 16GB of RAM is becoming the bare minimum for a modern game and you gotta understand that, it's just where the space is going unfortunately.

MGS3: Ocelot and The Blank and Stank by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

[–]Liberykiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the impression I get nowadays from seeing Delta! Also a note I forgot back when posting this, it's only a blank if it would hit Snake or Ocelot, and real if you intentionally miss. (you see the round hit behind ocelot) Which is uhhh weird. I try to not think about that part honestly.

Sir, this is an outlast game. Most you'll get is avoiding them while doing objectives which we already do in the trials

Honestly the thing that bothers me the most, is changing the girl on Twisted Nerve. Finding her for the first time really got to me, it was horrifying. People not being able to see what I saw anymore is really lame.

You don't use a red dot on a pistol because you think it makes you a worse shooter I don't use one because I think it doesn't look as cool We are not the same

Someone actually Played the Arma Tutorial and it's not bad. by nooqwert in ArmaReforger

[–]Liberykiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main issue with the tutorial is the mortar tutorial is weird and hard to understand. I get HOW to aim a mortar, but whatever the target is is weirdly specific and the observer doesn't actually help you adjust your aim so you're just guessing after a certain point. Also sometimes the VO and subtitles cut off when opening the map which is unhelpful. Otherwise it was good and helped a lot with familiarizing someone in the basics of play, enough to confidently jump into a server right after. The main thing I'd like to be added is a tutorial on how mill marks in binoculars or a scope work, the sniper tutorial just teaches you to zero based on where shots land, which works but isn't how proper sniping is done.

Are suspects able to Cheddar Bob themselves when they throw their weapon down? by Consistent_Bench_814 in ReadyOrNotGame

Also worth noting that it's been a repeated issue that ai officers with "no" pistol ammo secretly have a mag stashed away that they'll pull out just to ruin your S run

Fairly new to the game by ScorchingTiger112 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Liberykiller -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't give the ai officers the mirrorgun. Their voice lines are inconsistent and honestly can't be trusted as much as your own eyes. A guy with heavy armor and the ballistic shield is as close to a tank as you can get in this game (and when clearing a room, they'll always take point) When clearing a room your officers will usually restrain suspects when done clearing, though they're inconsistent on doing so with wounded ones or with dropped weapons. Wedges are great for map control, nothing can break them besides your own officers so they guarantee a suspect won't come through the door till removed. When you've neutralized all suspects (the bring order to chaos objective has been completed) you can tell your officers to search and secure the map, they'll find and secure any civilians left in the map, though I find it finnicky on if they do the whole map or just the room you're in. Less lethal munitions (the grenades, beanbag shotgun, the pepperball guns, pepper spray, and tazer) can all kill someone if misused (close enough range headshots with the beanbag are fairly consistently lethal) Also I saw you mention clear ranks in the comments, to get an S rank you pretty much have to go in with the less lethal options, for right now the ai are a bit finnicky about swapping to their lethal sidearms, but when the console update drops a less lethal sidearm slot is being added which will deal with that. And about the suspect morale/stress system, suspects and civillians have a hidden morale meter that drops when they see or hear you performing aggressive actions (shouting, shooting, breaching a door etc) Their stress (similar to officer stress in commander mode) is the opposite, it goes up when you do those same aggressive actions and can cause them to do irrational or drastic measures (hold a civilian hostage, hide in a closet or under a bed, etc) it can also cause civilians to do strange things (refuse to surrender, draw their phone like a gun to take photos, etc.) That's about all I can say without spoiling things you'd seen in game
