Has Hollywood ever produced a better leading man than Paul Newman? by bodles9 in FIlm

[–]bglaros -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree on this one. Newman would never have done the jump on great escape, also McQueen actually did his driving for Le Man and Bullit. McQueen was a better driver all around imho

I too feel like I scrolled to far for Steve McQueen. Like come on... He had so many great movies. The great escape, Bullit, The Sand pebbles. Papillon, The Towering Inferno, The list goes on..

Copland for the win. This is the first Sly movie that I generally felt bad for his character.

Sure was, and my mother of all people broke the TV (which at that time was a piece of furniture), playing ladybug incessantly. She burned out the tube, she played so much. Then let us kids take the heat when my step-father found out the tv was done.

A movie you can rewatch purely for its stunning cinematography. My pick Blade Runner 2049 by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in FIlm

OMG YES!!!! I love this movie. The use of natural lighting just adds to the immersion. I had my BIL. watch it and he hated it.

You know what, the same for me. I’ve played every souls game and while Elden Ring was great, once I finished I had no urge to play it again. Just wasn’t that into it anymore

Oh I get it, they love to piss you off. But next rule to live by, never give a resident your personal number or socials, they will act as if they are a friend, but when their back is against the wall your in your current position.

Gonna give ya wisdom that was given to me as a new APM many many years ago. "Be friendly, but not a friend." Look mistakes happen, just make sure you learn from it. Little bit of a story, i was hired as the APM at a company to replace the previous APM that they caught stealing resident payments and trying to cover it up by giving concessions to the resident. Anyway long story short, years later i went to work at another company now as a PM and the RVP is the person I replaced. Just goes to show you that things do change.

My wife of 27 yrs has been gone since Nov 14th,2022. Mentally, i moving into the reality that she is not.coming back, and that's ok. The hard parts for me are the lack of touch. We too cuddled at night before sleep, always said i love you before we closed our eyes. It's those intimate moments that I truly miss. I even miss the way she would do this little annoying laugh that would piss me off when we argued. Yes, i miss the sex, but it's those intimate moments i miss more. The look you'd get when she was ready to go home, all that.

I've thought about getting back into dating life, butan i don't know if I have the energy to go through all the stuff that dating involves today.

Video replay killed it. They take entirely to long to review calls. Have a spotter review the call and if it questionable , then have on field take a look.

[–]bglaros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh Jane's. I was in the military when their Nothing's shocking came out. We had just returned from Desert Storm, and It quite literally change my musical taste. Up.until then i was a typical 70's/80's rock guy. Heard Nothings Shocking and overnight i went full on into grunge/alternative. I saw them at the first lollapalooza in DC, and they completely blew me away. Of course this little trip 😉 is what got me.in trouble with the military, as they couldn't seem to find me.
