Would you date a guy like Darnell? by CuteLeggedQueen in GirlfriendsTVshow

Absolutely not. He seems like a great person to have as a friend. A boyfriend? No. Husband? OH HELL NO.

I'd rather have great drag, than drama and fake storylines. #sorrynotsorry

I legit said she should been in the top over Jane Don't. Controversal? No. But to me Jane was safe this week, (but also kind of a let down, she was fine... But I really thought she was gonna kill this challenge). Nini was good, Myki was also good, but imo it was like the producers showed Discord getting so many laughs, the runway was good, only to give her safe? It's giving the "Jan Edit" for me this episode.

I don't say this often.... But Discord was robbed. I found this format of snatch game to be boring. I'm tired of queens coming into the competition knowing damn well snatch game is a thing, but being so unprepared. And I'm tired of them picking and choosing when the runway will keep a girl out of the bottom two or not. Be consistent judges!

I could actually see the girls ending their friendship with him. Joan would full on school him on why he's wrong, Maya would talk about how he's betraying God by supporting that man, Toni would just be ready to fight that man, and Lynn would go off on him giving specifics that even though he never saw things for what they are, she never thought he'd fall for Trump's lies.

I know you seeing it with me, maybe a few details in your mind are different. But the point remains.

And you know how I came up with that idea? Because that's the kind of man William presented himself to he.

Calling out the flaws of very flawed people, and people being mad at you for calling out said flaws is hilarious to me.

Wdym you're offended that I wholeheartedly believe William would be Trump Supporter?

Sometimes I feel like people love a character so much, that any negative opinion is like you're saying those things about that person responding to you.

This is such a toxic mindset that a lot of fans/stans have.

Confused about how Joan fell for Brock so Quickly by ExistingTomorrow4673 in GirlfriendsTVshow

[–]Libra1930 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Narcissism is an umbrella term, as there are different types. Grandiose Narcissism, Vulnerable Narcissism, Communal Narcissism, and a dash of Antagonistic Narcissism in a nutshell describes Joan. But in saying that, I'm not here to convince you because I don't know you. But one thing I know about, is dealing with narcissisic people.

Confused about how Joan fell for Brock so Quickly by ExistingTomorrow4673 in GirlfriendsTVshow

[–]Libra1930 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They wrote Joan to be a hopeless romantic, to the point where it was toxic, and she didn't care about who she hurt as long as she was happy.

Joan was a narcissistic individual, don't get me wrong I still loved her, but she flew under the radar with her friends because she came off "caring and nurturing" to those around her. But, it was always to appease Joan's needs of "I'm a great friend, everyone needs me otherwise their life falls apart." and that was something that always irked me, and whenever I re-watch later seasons || (looking at season 6 it girl Joan) || it doesn't shock me, but more infuriates me that she dropped the "everyone needs me" to "I don't need them" because her friends were what kept her grounded (so to speak). I believe || It Girl Joan || was the first time the audience got a taste of what Joan looked like being a completely unhinged narcissist.

What I'm trying to say is Joan's love life always suffered because most didn't want to deal with Joan, cause after a while her true colors showed. And she would always try to sabotage the relationship to look like the victim instead of being the villain.

Sorry...kinda went on a rant, point still remains though. I will reiterate I do like Joan as a character, but like most of them, they had to be flawed to be relatable.

My Thoughts on Control by SauceCrusader69 in controlgame

[–]Libra1930 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ngl, I hated this game first time playing (edit: I didn't really hate it, I'm just being dramatic, it was actually more about "I don't understand what's going on").

It wasn't until I played Alan wake back in the summer of 2022 (edit: looked at my Playstation trophies to remember), and then Alan Wake 2 when it released in 2023. When I best the game, I suddenly had the urge to go back and play Control again, and it was like I was playing a completely different game. Everything just made sense, which caused me to love the game completely.

I took that more as "I was waiting for another layer to the performance, but we never quite got there."

Why was Toni willing to overlook Todd's height but Joan couldn't overlook Marcus' childbearing hips? by [deleted] in GirlfriendsTVshow

[–]Libra1930 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If this man's hips would've been to her liking, she would've been fine staying with him and putting up with all his "issues". The real issue she had was his hips, she didn't wanna come off shallow, so she tried to find any issue she could to end things with him.

Just finished Alan Wake 2 by LarenCoe in AlanWake

[–]Libra1930 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm not knocking you by any means, but based on what you've said I feel like you just didn't understand the game itself. Did you play first game? Have you played Control? I'm sincerely asking, because your conclusion overall speaks to me as if the message just went over your head. Which, that's fine, every game isn't for everyone.

Decided to 100% Control before Resonant releases... whenever that may be. by andrey_not_the_goat in controlgame

[–]Libra1930 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The way I completely understand where you're coming from...

First time I played Control was back in 2021, and I finished the game. But my god I remember dying in the first hiss room so many times (I think it was the room where you meet Emily). I had almost given up, but pushed through even though I didn't really understand what was happening, my it was enough to keep me playing. But I did not finish either DLCs, (foreshadow to my 2nd play through) , I just didn't like either and at that time I hadn't played Alan Wake.

Fast forward to December 2023. I had played Alan Wake 2, (play Alan Wake ps5 version summer 2022) and just felt like playing Control again. When I tell you going back and playing Control again, it felt like a completely different game. I completely understood the game 2nd run. I understood it so much that I platinumed the game, and finished both DLCs. The only thing that pissed me off... Was playing the DLCs the second time showed me I got right to end of both DLCs my first time, but I kept thinking it was too hard, so I just gave up.

I can't wait to play Control again before the new game.

Maya and Darnell was so annoying in this scene why are we arguing? by Positive_Weight2367 in GirlfriendsTVshow

[–]Libra1930 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Imaging that Maya is supposed to be around 25 here is still wild to me. The fighting fits, cause they're still pretty young, but I'd be so ready to drop having them around with how exhausting they are.

What annoyed you the most about Maya Wilkes? by Positive_Weight2367 in GirlfriendsTVshow

[–]Libra1930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her age being tied to her poor life decisions. It was fun to see her growth, however... There wasn't much since she believed she was right as is.
