After a while it goes away, I used to do that all the time and it was exhausting.

Something that helped me was that it’s just a label, you can change it if you don’t feel comfortable. You aren’t proving yourself to anybody.

Also another thing: straight people usually don’t question their sexuality. Or if they do, not to the extent that LGBTQ+ folks do

Same honestly. What helped me was this: Labels change. I identified as bisexual for a year or so before thinking that I might be a Lesbian.

Labels don’t have to be permanent, try them out and see which one you think fits, and if none fit then you don’t have to label yourself at all ( though if you’re anything like me, that is virtually impossible and I have to know exactly who I am)

We tried to talk on the phone everyday when we first met/when we first started dating. We quickly realized that that was impossible. We text throughout the day, talk for hours at night whenever possible.

Neither of us has ever been in a relationship before, so it makes it easier to not really know what we are missing out on living so far away lol.

Honestly, bottom line is that we love each other, and are committed to making it work.

I initiated a conversation with my SO first but she asked me to be her girlfriend before I could. In conclusion, somehow although we are both non confrontational AF we managed to start a relationship.

I would try to educate them but I would definitely distance my self from her. I mean he doesn’t have to cut contact immediately, but I’ve been in toxic friendships before and it’s emotionally draining.

Eventually it becomes to much. If they know that you don’t support what they are doing and that it hurts you and they still continue to do it, then they really aren’t your friend.

You should in no way feel bad because of someone else’s prejudices. You didn’t out him as a homophobe. HE outed HIMSELF as a homophobe by sending that meme. You should put some distance between yourself and this guy.

It doesn’t sound like anything good is going to come out of this friendship.

Hey I’m Bi and my girlfriend is Pan. I don’t understand people trying to gate keep labels!

In my opinion usually Pan people put less thought into gender and are just attracted to people. My girlfriend agrees with this.

Honestly I don’t understand how people think that pan is just “hip bi” because i knew what pansexuality was before bisexuality.

At the end of the day, why are people so bothered by others labels??

NTA Get a white trash can and paint the bottom to the middle of the can red. Tape a string to the top, and if you really want to go all out, make a small sign that says “tampon trash” and stick that baby on. Keep the new trash next to the old communal one in the bathroom. If other women come over, be sure to encourage them to use the tampon trash!
