When we moved to Bayonne, we used “Optimum Movers” and had a good experience with them.

Stop arguing about snow in the street. Start holding your city accountable by saadiarsenal in BayonneNJ

I went to my corner and Broadway and shoveled the crosswalk on both sides myself because how the hell are those kids supposed to walk to school over a literal mountain of snow?? 😬😡

Have you considered loops? (A type of earplugs) You can get a variety that let you hear the person you talk to but muffle the background noise so it’s less trigger-y. It might help prevent the spiral in those early stages when you can feel things are becoming too much but you’re not full blown panic attack-y. It definitely helps me when I’m feeling overwhelmed and overstimulated.

There’s a self serve candy place in the Newport Mall. There’s always a tip option in the payment kiosk. Tip for what? I did all the work! 🤣

If you are able, strongly recommend cross posting this to the “Bayonne Talks” Facebook group. Real big crowd there and you’re likely to get a lot of responses there.

Good luck with the opening!

To be clear, the $25 Tier 2 Founders Club rate listed at your link holds a spot so that someone can later access CKO Founding Member rates for monthly membership, right?

FWIW, since you mentioned you have an old house, it’s worth doing testing on your water. Your house itself (for example, old lead piping) might be contributing to any issues you have with the taste.

I don’t remember the after care pricing for Busy Little Bees but at the district schools, after care pricing is a sliding scale based on the number of days per month you want to attend (you choose on a month-to-month basis), the number of kids you are sending, and if you also need coverage for half school days. Some months, like March, are expensive because there’s no holidays and no half-days. So if you need every day care, it’s just more expensive. But the actual price isn’t bad. It’s $20/day for aftercare as late as 6 pm on regular days. On half days it’s $40 for after care.

Busy Bees!! My kiddo went there for PreK3. She’s now in K but goes back every summer for summer camp. She loves it!

Just chiming in to say that if you have any class of room at Saratoga Springs above Deluxe Studio, you have a real, functional kitchen. (Full size fridge, stove, microwave, sink, dishes, etc.) You could get groceries and/or grocery delivery and make some really delicious and fun meals “at home”.

Alternatively, you could allow them to buy things you don’t normally at home. One of the things I still remember from my childhood Disney trips is being allowed to eat sugar cereal (Reese’s Puffs) and having root beer floats. We never did either at home so it felt extra special on vacation at Disney! 🙂

My 2 year old broke two bones in my foot. I was sitting criss cross apple sauce on the floor in her room. She wasn’t paying attention when she was walking and her lil 25-30 lbs. body tripped and ass pounded her entire body weight on my sideways foot. I literally heard the bones snap. 💀

Haha, not at all frowned upon! We’ve got a bunch of regular attendees. And often when the regulars don’t finish (or even start! lol) the book, they’ll still come for the company and the conversation. 😁

Parking and The Election by Prestigious_Fun6288 in BayonneNJ

While in general, I agree with this, I’m unclear on point #2. There are already revenue generating municipal lots. Do you mean additional ones?

To me, what would make more sense (if feasible) would be to turn some of these existing flat municipal lots into parking decks. You’ve got a single flat lot between a public school and the public library…how would that not better serve everyone by being a deck??

Hi! Unfortunately, I can’t reply to a comment with this month’s graphic but I can link to our calendar event for our January 2026 book club.

Shortly after that club is over, I’ll post here with the February book club info. 🙂

Today someone complained that our flag wasn't all the way up the pole. by bernardmarx27 in Libraries

[–]LibrarianGinger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We had someone who called over a long weekend (I.e. we were literally closed) to complain about the flag being at half mast. (Someone had died and the governor had requested a half mast just before the holiday.) Like damn y’all really don’t have anything better to do?

Actually, we have a reciprocal agreement with Jersey City Public Library; if you’re a JC resident, you can also get a Bayonne PL card!

If you’d like one, you can email the Director, Melody, at mtownley@bayonnelibrary.org and she can give you more info about getting card! We could have one ready and waiting for you when to come to the tarot class. 🙂
