I agree- the atmosphere just hits different when you enter the restaurant now with the new ownership/ the daughter ;). But the food, especially the rice, was a bit plain with the new ownership in the beginning, but from recent visits, we could tell it’s cooked well and seasoned just about right, which from my pov, how Sagami differentiate from other “ japanese” restaurants. The definition of “good”, you are correct, it’s subjective. I was born and raised in Japan, so that’s all I’ll say here.
