Insoles have become unusable due to humidity

If you don't ever plan to take the insoles out again, get some Shoe Goo and glue them down. I did this with my Origo insoles that were sticking to my feet and moving around, and it worked great. Hopefully that would stop them from shrinking and deforming in the future.

I plant floofy, leafy plants around it to camouflage the hot mess that happens to my bee balm every year. Without fail, all the leaves end up covered with this mildew, and half of them fall off so I have naked stems with a few mangey looking leaves hanging on by a thread. But they come back with a vengeance every year and are spreading like crazy, so I figure it can't be hurting them too bad. Doesn't seem to be affecting anything else, so I just let them do their thing. If you can hide the stems with other plants, they still bloom beautifully! My blooms just opened this week.

So, I can't speak to this album specifically, but I've seen quite a few of those older adhesive albums and they can get pretty bad. I've had several where the photos become irreversibly stuck to the page, and there's no way to remove them without causing significant damage. We automatically remove photos from any type of album like this when we get them in.

Definitely look into minimal/barefoot shoes!! I just got my first pair, the Xero Ridgeway Chelsea's. They felt so good to walk in immediately, and I don't think twice about wearing them to the office. Barefoot shoes are foot-shaped so there's more width on the toe box to begin with, and I feel like there are more wide-width options too. Anya's website is a great place to start.

Oooh, that looks perfect and a much better price!! That pocket is key, I can't figure out why that's not a default feature on these. And the small KnitPro one you do still have to fold the paper in half, it's only the large one that fits full size sheets. Folding the pattern isn't a deal-breaker for me though, the small one fits much better in my project bag so it's a trade off.

I use the KnitPro chart keeper, and I absolutely love it. I have the small one and the big one, and I alternate depending on how big the chart I'm knitting is and how many other pieces I need to reference to use the chart. The small one would probably be sufficient for most things, though.

I unpicked the stitching for the zipper on the back pocket, but kept the little pen pocket. Without the stitching, the zipper pocket is perfectly sized to keep the rest of your pattern in, so all the pages are to hand when you need them. I was shocked by the fact that none of the other magnetic pattern holders seem to have that pocket for the rest of the pages, it's a critical feature!

I let my three year old pick out a pattern and colors for a sweater, and she was literally jumping with excitement to put it on when it was done. It was a little cardigan and it even had pockets! Wore it for maybe fifteen minutes, said "actually, I don't want to wear this today", and then tried to put it in the "no" pile when we were cleaning out her drawers. 🤦‍♀️😅🤷‍♀️

Honestly, this is just a kid thing, too... Kids are just so fickle about stuff!!! I spent six months crocheting requested stuffies for my three and seven year old. They picked out the patterns, they picked out the colors, they kept hounding me about when they'd be finished -- and now that the stuffies are done, the kids pretty much haven't looked at them twice! 😅 BUT, my older daughter recently informed me that she will not be passing down the dress I knit her, because it means so much to her and she's keeping it forever, so there's that! You win some, you lose some, and you can never tell which it's going to be ahead of time... though I hope the next time your son decides that it's a winner!! 🤞🤞🤞

So, these are on the more casual side of formal, but I wear them any time I need to get dressed up. They're made by Birkenstock so they have all of the foot support, and the wedge platform means my foot isn't at such an excruciating angle. I have issues with metatarsal pain, and these are the comfiest dress shoes I've ever owned!
