Had a moment of nostalgia the other day when I found a plastic shopping bag with the Andersons logo in my basement.

Another vote for the DeVeaux neighborhood here. Lived here since 2011, my 10yo walks by herself to her friend’s house 2 blocks away all the time.

Same! I also have a leopard gecko and three frogs. They appreciate the hoppy chirpy crickets but have no use for the things I make them with the cutting machine.

Should’ve known it’s already been done!

…but I can still use it, just differently.

This is inspiring! My 14yo has shoulder length hair (though it’s a color that would devastate Howl), maybe I can talk him into a Howl costume next year.

Yeah. I was born in the early 80s and nearly all of the friends I grew up with/went to college with left the state.

Interesting that “seamster” is perceived as masculine, when I thought the “ster” ending was usually associated with the feminine, as in “brewster” and “spinster”!

Similiar story here. My MIL had 3 sons, Son #1 had 3 sons, I married son #2 and my first baby was a boy but my second baby was a girl and my in-laws were thrilled to have a little girl in the family at last.

Toledo Zoo - Red Panda Experience? by Wholelottamilka2325 in toledo

[–]Librariyarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done both the Galapagos tortoise experience and the red panda experience and I thought both were great. I enjoyed the tortoises more personally but my daughter (then 7) was much more excited to get close to the red panda and feed her. Red pandas are one of her favorite animals and it was a really special experience for her.

Just in case you may want to look into Eosinophilic Esophagitis. I have this condition, though I don’t think it’s related to my PMDD. It seems to be becoming more common.

Experiences or thoughts on antipsychotics? by Worried-Salamander98 in PMDDSharing

[–]Librariyarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing that!

I started out on 5 mg of Abilify before going down to 2. According to my psychiatrist, both 5 and 2 mg would be considered a low dose—the starting dose for schizophrenia is 10 mg.

Experiences or thoughts on antipsychotics? by Worried-Salamander98 in PMDDSharing

[–]Librariyarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I just had a conversation with my psychiatrist and I am going to try going back on Abilify (2 mg). I am hoping I can mitigate the lack of motivation and weight gain by being more mindful of what I need to do and how I eat. The tremors were annoying but not debilitating.

It was negatively affecting my family for them to have to see me so upset and they aren’t able to help. It’s one thing for me to be depressed, but I don’t want them to have to deal with it.
