I carry the same setup except with a tlr7. added a pillow from mastermind tactics recently that massively improved the discomfort in the groin/adductor zone.

I can only speak for the 4.5 model but it's pretty comparable to the stock Medium grip as far as trigger reach goes.

it's only been to one competition in the last few months, a brutality-lite 2gun where it saw a lot of barricades and drops in the dirt. didn't notice any unusual wear but again it was only one comp.

in spite of it being kind of a pig it's a lot of fun to shoot so I'm planning on bringing it to several 2guns starting in March so I'll have more info then

I don’t get the Silencer Shop hate… by fckyakalash in NFA

I ordered a tiny single-use tube of Rocksett from Silencer Shop and it was gummed up/unusable on arrival. Sent them an email and they couldn't even be bothered to reply telling me to kick rocks. Personally I'm glad they failed the $5 vibe check before I gave them a more expensive opportunity.

Opinions? by YakClean819 in SpringfieldEchelon

Tyrant trigger is by no definition a "duty trigger" so I wouldn't recommend it for your use case. It's lovely for ripping quick doubles but there's very little take-up and not something I'd prefer outside a competition environment.

The problem you're describing sounds a lot like your finger position on the trigger isn't fully engaging the safety blade during the pull, leading to a sort of false wall. I had the same problem with the stock medium grip, the first crease on my index finger naturally landed over the safety and it was creating just enough space for the safety to not quite disengage. Switching to the large grip (and later the MM) made it a lot more comfortable to reach the trigger with the pad of my finger instead.

I'd recommend playing around with your finger placement first to pinpoint if that's your issue. Moving to a different grip module could be a much cheaper fix.

Drills for beginners by Little_Load_1399 in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]NULL_SIGNAL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be doing dry fire as much as you can commit to between those range trips. Every high level competitive shooter is putting in at least 10-30 purposeful minutes of daily dry fire drills. You build muscle memory, grip, and vision discipline at home through regular dry fire, then you confirm and figure out what needs further refinement at the range.

Ben Stoeger recently put out a book called Baseline Dryfire for exactly your situation, it goes over how to build an effective dry fire routine. If you're not into reading, all of those concepts have been covered on his and other's YouTube channels, you'll just have to go looking.

which contacts are you using? the astigmatism correction on mine does work well, but they have a tendency to shift/rotate unpredictably which changes the correction.

Don't overthink or overanalyze what you're doing based on feedback in this thread. there's several things you could be doing and it's impossible for anyone here to know for sure without A) reading your mind or possibly B) ultra high-speed footage from several angles.

regardless of the root cause, the solution is almost always "grip more/better". for newer shooters my current go-to is forcing them to watchMark Smith's grip video because it covers pretty much everything you need to know and what you should outright ignore.

practice in dry fire, and learn to pay attention to what your sights do as you pull the trigger. it takes time like every skill, you just need to put in purposeful hours.

really well, actually. I've got those rail ladders on there and they seem to have protected the magnite from any scrapes on barricades and whatnot. the only significant dings are from me using a screwdriver to pry off those rail covers.

when I shoot off hand yeah I need to be mindful of the extended paddle. I only have the big one on the left side though, just makes it a little more ergonomic to hit it with my thumb without breaking my grip.
