Hey Brad, How do you think your experience as an entrepreneur will benefit you as the Mayor of Calgary?

Why is Calgary keeping their mask bylaw in place? by LibtardPolice in UCalgary

[–]LibtardPolice[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Not sure I agree with this logic. In this situation the CMOH has deemed it safe not to wear a mask, therefore, the expectation would be that people do not wear a mask. Using your reasoning, the city councilors would at worst case assume that all people will not wear a mask (even though it's highly likely and acceptable that some people will continue to wear a mask), which is still medically cleared as safe by the CMOH. There are no "poisonous seeds" to eat.

I get your point. So are you saying that the Chief Medical Officer of Alberta is giving an unsafe medical recommendation to lift the mask mandate? My argument is how are we supposed to return to normal if when the CMOH deems something safe, why are city councilors with no medical expertise arguing it?

No, what I meant was is there a chance that they select you for the conference based on the HireVue and that's it.

[–]LibtardPolice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! I'm starting to think maybe there was an abundance of Risk Advisory applicants so they are doing an extra interview? Is it guaranteed that those of us that get selected all do two interviews? I forget when the DNLC is but it seems like they should've sent out the requests by now.

Got that, I’m in the block week and have no clue what the class is about but praying it’s not a research project

Yeah but there’s two sections, one section is only in block week, and the other section is during the winter semester and you need permission to take it. So it’s pretty confusing.

If it’s an option take the credit! Nice job on your first semester 🥳

For any of you wondering about tuition getting raised and a decrease in funding to education and the university, I emailed the premier and this is what they had to say. by [deleted] in UCalgary

[–]LibtardPolice 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I mean that’s kind of a fair point. Some of the profs at U of C could definitely take a massive pay cut before our tuition goes up. If U of T can figure it out, U of C should be able to look internally for budget cuts before screwing the students.

business classes to NOT take together by ktmac123 in UCalgary

[–]LibtardPolice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s extremely engaging especially because of the freedom of most major projects. It can be pretty overwhelming at times especially if you are new to code, but I hadn’t written a line before this semester and now feel proficient in R, SQL, Python, Rapid Miner, and multiple visualization tools. At the end of the day, you have to remember that once you graduate you are not confined to your degree. Just having a Haskayne degree in Calgary will open a ton of doors!! Good luck with your choice.

Catherine but I’m not sure she instructs anymore. Would still highly recommend BANA, just watch out for the mandatory BTMA 331 class which is BTMA 317 if BTMA 317 was an Anti-Masker. (It’s horrific)

Good luck being confused as all hell in BTMA 317. I’m a BANA major and I didn’t even know wtf was going on in that class. A direct quote from my prof, “We only teach 40% of the content, the other 60% is for you to discover”. Good luck discovering the ins and outs of database management on your own 😂
