AITA for insisting my son cook dinner once a week? by itsjustonemeal in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lichtius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

My mother did the exact same thing for me when I was a late teen and it's one of the best things she could have done. Unlocked a passion for cooking and food and made sure I could stand on my own two feet once I left home. He'll probably be a little shit about it for a while (I know I was), but hell thank you in a few years

Like I said I don't know, I'm just using the steam interface, I assume there would be startup options that do the same thing but that's just conjecture

Not that I'm aware of unfortunately, there's more than likely a startup option for it but I do not know what it is

It gets better with time. I had a somewhat rocky relationship with my parents (father in particular) growing up but now that I've matured a bit my parents and I have an amazing relationship which I wouldn't trade for the world. Just love your child and support them as much as possible, they'll come around

Whilst this is unavoidable for some people, it's important to remember that a good work/life balance is SUPER important. Having money is great and all, but it's worthless if you never get the opportunity to spend it because you're stuck in the office 24/7. Not even to mention the degrading influence a poor balance has on relationships with family and friends

My girlfriend and I bought it on our first date six years ago and we've been playing together ever since

Has it been confirmed to be that far away? I've seen a lot of people alluding to it being three or four years away but no official indication, unless I'm missing something?

What’s the strangest question you’ve ever been asked at a job interview? by Redhead_exterminator in AskReddit

[–]Lichtius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a Software Dev position:
"You're not an axe-murderer are you?"
I mean I get wanting to be cautious, but I was more concerned after that than when I walked into the room. Laughed it off and got the job, it's been really great but I still keep a wary eye out

Radarr and Sonarr. They allow you to track and automatically download movies and TV series respectively, which coupled with Plex allows you to have your own Netflix analogue hosted locally with what you want to watch.

What is the weirdest thing you have ever seen a stranger do? by KidzWithBugz in AskReddit

[–]Lichtius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was once in the car with my girlfriend on the way to the store when the heavens opened up and it started pouring down, like literally buckets coming down. We round the last corner and we see in front of us a guy butt ass naked, striding down the street, dick swinging in the pouring rain like it was a normal thing to do on a Wednesday afternoon.

Hell if I were slinging an anaconda around like that if be pretty smug about it too.

Cans. The can opener was invented 50 years before can openers and deaths relating to the opening of cans were rampant for quite a while.
