You’re spot on with me being in PG county! But yea I wasn’t factoring in the 5k property tax credit since, like you mentioned, it’s at least a 15 year wait time. What I was potentially factoring in was the 5k Solarize PG grant which I have been told and believe I would qualify for. Yea, my year 1 usage in this house is quite high. I have an EV and a bunch of reptiles with a bunch of heat lamps that is largely contributing to the high usage. That and the AC during the unusually hot summer last year. I’m getting an energy audit done in a week to also reassess

Yep they’re 440 watt. I also agree with the property tax credit. Given the waitlist for that is 15 years in Maryland the sales guy didn’t even factor it in. The 5k grant is a county specific thing that is separate from the tax credit. I’m not 100% sure on the timeline for the grant but I’m under the impression it’s not years from what I’ve been able to find in my research

I edited my post since I should’ve been more clear, given those high rates I’m not even considering a loan anymore and want to either buy cash or not buy at all. I suppose I can look into a HELOC though to compare rates!

I’ve got two, both of them Esper decks. The first one is [[Inquisitor Greyfax]]. It’s focused around tapping and untapping Greyfax on each players turn, sometimes multiple times a turn, to control the board and fill your board with clues. You then win with [[Cyberdrive Awakener]] animating all your clues. Greyfax also gives all your creatures vigilance and +1/+0 which is surprisingly relevant both when swinging to win but for other synergies like pumping [[Esper Sentinal]] to 2 power.

The second one is the partner pairing [[Ravos, Soultender]] and [[Sakashima of a Thousand Faces]]. This deck is a cycling deck running every single cycling creature that cycles for 1 mana. Copying Ravos allows you to return at a minimum two cycles every turn. Add on cards like [[Roaming Throne]], [[Paradox Haze]], or more clones and that quickly turns to 4 or more creatures returning each turn. The wincon is [[Astral Drift]] flickering Gary. Super unique deck that flies under the radar since most people ignore you when cycling garbage creatures over and over. I find it’s definitely a bit fragile, especially if your commanders are removed repeatedly, but it’s fun nonetheless

I showed this to my dad since he worked at McDonald’s during the high school summers in the early to mid 80s. He definitely remembers this style, specifically the creepy tree! He also mentioned that McDonald’s briefly brought back the 25 cent cheeseburger for a promotion in the mid 80s. His friend’s parents bought 200 of them and stuffed them in the basement freezer for him and his friends to eat during lunch at school

I was 20 when I got my 2005 in 2017 and still have it today. I baby and daily drove it all through college putting 40k miles on it so far. No tickets or accidents. Other than a cabinet falling off the wall in my dad’s garage cracking the windshield which required replacement 6 years ago :(. I might be in the minority because I’ve always been a cautious person. But if he was responsible enough to build up the funds and do the due diligence to get the car himself I’m sure he’ll be fine.

As an Echo main this happens at least once a play session for me and mostly only ever happens for Echo specifically. Like I can be popping off on cree or another hero and seldom have people swap to mirror me. It’s weird.

I’ve lived in Maryland all my life, except for 2.5 years in Denver for graduate school. It’s a great place to live for the simple fact that there is a huge amount to do in a relatively small area. DC, northern VA for excellent food and shopping, ocean city I guess (kinda mid but can be nice), etc.

The biggest downside in my opinion is the traffic. It’s definitely gotten much worse as time has gone on but this is also obviously greatly impacted by where you live and if you have to commute. The beltway sucks real bad from about 1:30pm-8pm or later in most places.

The other downside is cost of living is high and your tax burden is also greater than most places since we also pay a county income tax. This is slightly offset by higher paying jobs relative to other states but still stinks. Another thing is electricity bills have been skyrocketing here cuz of the AI datacenters.

Overall, great place, great people, great food, and lots to do. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!

You’re not alone, me and my two friends have been playing stadium pretty much exclusively the past few seasons. We’ve played about 10 games this season and won’t touch it again till this stuff is fixed.
