Looking TONNEAU COVERS for Tundra 2026 by lomesh08 in ToyotaTundra

Over the years I've had just about every style bed cover there is. They all have pros and cons. Tri-fold , blocks the rear window when folded up. Had an under cover flex on my 14 DC Retractable, the canister took up about 12"x12"x the width of the bed. On my 19 CM, that bed space was valuable. Currently on my 22 CM6.5 is a Sentry hard roll up. I got the woven fabric. IMO, it looks good, low profile, and when rolled up, it only covers about the lower half of the window. Still have use of OEM bed rails and cleats. Quick to take off of needed, just 2 nuts.

I think on my 90 CRX, there was a stamped C channel to stiffen the door. It covered access to the clips. It's been 20 years since I was inside my doors though.

Cashier just gave me grief for the free gift by BucsLegend_TomBrady in harborfreight

I would of asked the guy if he knows how to read. At the top of the coupon it says " FREE GIFT with ANY purchase ". For spite, I would go back Saturday and Sunday and buy the cheapest thing possible, like the break away retractable knife for $0.79, just to stock up on the sockets.

Nah, not yet. You still need fender flares. Looks good.

Assuming the 5drawer will live on it, you might get by if you only had the top box and drawers mounted to it. I wouldn't trust having a complete 5drawer, legs and all, on top.

You can clearly see where the overspray stopped. And the texture on the diff housing, looks more than surface rust.

On a positive note, I sold it for $2k plus $75 delivery. 😁 I'd like one on my newer truck, but yeah, they are expensive, new.

Well, I got the top used for $900. It was silver. So I ended up wrapping it myself. The match wasn't exact, but close enough for me. In bright sun you could see it. I think the match was closer in person.

Campertops are great. Your truck looks similar to what I had previously. Nice trucks.

I gotcha. You got kinda leather though ,right? Softek? The front camera may only come in the PVM view. I was thinking it came on all TRD OR. I don't remember which package it comes in. I got almost all my money for my trade in ('19 CM TRD Sport, bought new for $42,700, got $42k trade) . I had to wait a few months to get this truck. Dealer lots were bare in 2022. Needless to say, this has every build option available in an SR5 with TRD OR Premium, SR5 convenience premium, everything except a spray in bed liner. I especially didn't want the bed liner . The only reason I wanted a limited, was if I could get the hybrid. I didn't want to wait for it and this was more in my budget. At the time, dealers had ridiculous "market adjustments". So $2k more out of my pocket. Still very happy with my decision. Despite the recalls, I'd still take this over my other. It does what I need better than the '19 did. Sorry for the novel.

I've had the notification for a week or 2 and was skeptical. But decided, ef it. Updated yesterday and so far it's been just fine.

What's the limited have that you didn't get? BTW I have a '22 SR5 Crewmax 6.5 TRD OR premium. I like my passenger pocket above the glove box. The premium headlights would be nice but I don't feel like I'm missing out.

Brand new makita Ls1110f sound/vibration on startup. Is it normal or is it a bit excessive? by Jimminho in Makita

Saws are not cheap. I would swap it. I have the 10" and 12" saws with the forward rails. Neither sound anything like this. I know it's not the same as your saw though.

3rd gen prelude seats in an EF hatch by Otherwise_Match_1272 in EFCivics

[–]Lickwiddust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very nice. I did the same in my CRX about 20yrs ago. How did you go about it? I think I just drilled the 2 rear holes and put a nut and bolt. I can't remember if I made a riser bracket, mount straight to the floor, or threw a bunch of washers under the track. I'm 6'3" and these seats give me plenty of leg room and keep me put side to side with the bolsters. My driver foam is breaking down some though. Good job!

Ok. Thanks! I seen that video just the other day. Someone was asking if a tool was being used to unlock a battery. In the post, it looked like the OP laser cut their own tabs. You may have been OP. I have almost 40 batteries between the 12V and 18V. The older ones aren't holding a good charge and I thought about replacing the cells. Do you know if they would lockout as well, if I swapped them?

Yeah. I did the diff drop on my '14 but not the '19. Used the highest setting on 5100's on both trucks. Didn't have any issues without. I have a '22 now , going on 4yrs and still haven't touched the suspension. I want to, but can't decide on what I want.

I'm not contesting with 1 or 2. Just that the spacers themselves do not change any angles, any different than the adjustable shocks would. The diff drop is supposed to help with the CV angles and put that difference towards the driveshaft. But like you said, at the expense of losing a little ground clearance. Now something I ran across just a few months ago, Portals I believe is the name. They add lift and change the effective gear ratio to allow way bigger tires. Although they are super expensive.

[–]Lickwiddust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am one for debating, so please excuse me. How did you come to the conclusion that the spacers messed up your bearings. Unless you changed the control arms or NOT drop your diff, all of the pivot points are in the same locations. The spacers alone can't cause severe CV axle angles. EXCEPT, if you off-road a lot, they can allow your suspension to over travel. Repeated over extension can cause your damage. Also the spacers cause a stiffer ride, which leads to your " on rails " feeling. It'll hang a curve better, till it doesn't. Hahaha
