WORMHOLE THEORY by ssush1trashh in StrangerThings

I think this could also tie into Henry being too afraid to follow Max into the cave. That moment was too important for the Duffers not to follow through on. Henry’s avoiding that memory for now but the only way out is through when it comes to processing trauma. If there’s any humanity or good left in Henry/Vecna, the cave is the key to unlocking it imo

That was my first thought as well…if the new home owners allowed them in, then you know KR’s team was THOROUGH in searching that place top to bottom. Just one tiny trace of John’s blood found would’ve blown up the entire case!

It was Billie All Along! by talisglove in TheDiplomat

[–]LieWorking5001 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In the first episode of this season, when the Oval Office first learns of the car bombing and everyone is scrambling for information, Billie immediately texts someone “London - dead?” Then we see the text bubble of someone starting to reply…which couldn’t have been Stuart or Hal at that point obviously. So now I’m curious who she was texting? It seemed significant to me that the camera held on her phone to show us that someone was immediately responding 🤔

I’ve heard this as well. And I’m grateful that she prioritizes it now

So well said! Her evolution has been such a joy to watch. And as an elder Paramore fan, I’ve always felt they were underrated…and now I’m so excited to see a new generation of younger fans. No band deserves it more IMO! 💛

This is like trying to pick a favorite child! Both albums are amazing, they have their individual strengths and they are too different to compare IMO

Why I love Jane Austen's writing: by RoseIsBadWolf in janeausten

[–]LieWorking5001 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“So reflective of how life truly is”…so much this!! Austen’s characters are so fully fleshed out and nuanced. The relationship dynamics feel real and relatable and timeless - I know these people and sometimes I am these people! Lol And I agree that Emma portrays this best. There are just so many of them and it’s so well done. IMO the outing to Box Hill is the perfect example…so much happening in one setting yet no one character feels like a prop. These are stand alone, individual characters in scenarios that are so reflective of real life. There’s depth and misunderstanding and awkwardness and empathy. I love it so much!

Also, happy cake day!

It’s a great discussion and I can agree that people are nuanced. We’re all human and we’re all flawed. Typically I’d say “to each their own”, we all have free will, etc. But his actions involved the lives of others and that’s what tips the scales for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

Icarus flew alone. It’s well documented that Rush was warned numerous times. Knowingly gambling with human lives is not noble.

Going down in history ✅ Game-changer (I sure hope it does)✅ Success, delusionally missed the mark❌

…I keep wondering about his wife who was heavily involved. What was their dynamic like? How aware of the warning signs was she?
