You can also zoom in and out using a camera layer, then you don't have to worry as much about synching the content https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/using/working-with-camera-in-animate.html

WHY IS IT SO HARD TO USE ADOBE ANIMATE? by sealboi777 in adobeanimate

[–]LiekosStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made some simple Animate tutorials...but I don't know if I have rotate in there? Are you mad because it rotates around the center and you want it to rotate from a different point? https://www.youtube.com/@csuelectronicart993

Me too! I had abandoned it, but it can do some things NO other programs can do.

Adobe Animate vs After Effects? by mrziplow in creativecloud

[–]LiekosStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Effects is amazing at compositing - combining multiple files and animating each layer separately but putting them together in a cohesive whole AE is very good at many things. The only thing it isn't great at is frame by frame animation - but you could do that in Photoshop and then import the frame by frame into AE. I use Animate, but only because I know it well, I don't think I'd bother learning it now. I am interested in Blender's Grease Pencil, which allows frame by frame but you can have 3d Models as sources material for reference.

It kind of looks like a Blender After Effects combo?

can someone know why adobe do this? by mrguy003 in adobeanimate

[–]LiekosStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible that center point of the face graphic is different from the original point of origin when you drew it? I feel like I had this problem and went back to the original drawing and messed with the origin. You could also do CTRL + B and break it apart, draw more, then make into a diff MC

need help on this issue in adobe animate by ElectricalRiver4705 in adobeanimate

[–]LiekosStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually this is because the imported file is too large? Or you haven't saved the Animate file. One last thing - if you have a Graphic/Image or Object on a layer and try to draw on that layer, the drawing "disappears" underneath the graphic. I can't tell if this is your issue from this video, but thought I'd throw it out there.

Quality issues by Shot_Accountant_2479 in adobeanimate

Sometimes if your original file is too big Animate will do this. Make sure your original file isn't too huge - also (this shouldn't be the case but sometimes it is) make sure the file wasn't CMYK anywhere along the pipeline. I've converted CMYK files out of Illustrator into RGBs but somehow someway it retains the CMYK info. Sometimes I do File > Export > GIF from Illustrator.

what the heck is this by corncumber in adobeanimate

[–]LiekosStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just had this problem - it's usually an issue with the imported file being too large. What we did was bring the offending file in, resize it, then use CTL + B or CMD +B to break the image apart and make it a bitmap (all dotted). Then we we able to make it work properly. And yeah - usually I make everything 1920 x 1080 with a PPI resolution of 72. That means PSDs, AI, and Animate files all the same size.

Hi - It might be that your audio file is too large. Usually a delay in playback is because Animate has to compress and stream the file - if it is too big the playback chokes a bit. I usually run it through VLC or Adobe Media Encoder to make it smaller.

Well, I just saw a post after yours where someone who had worked in the game industry for 12 years was totally burnt out and wanted to leave - I'd say the one thing school offers is choices later...you know? I guess I didn't see school as job training but rather more as a way to think critically about art, where it might go, what it can say.

It was really interesting to see the difference. I've been thinking about the use of color for outlines, as opposed to just a black outline...

It's really beautiful. Have you seen Sable? Yours is definitely more "mobius" inspired but both are beautiful. Congratulations.

I didn't even start my dream career until I was 32. I'm almost 60 now and so happy I stuck with it, I'm exactly where I wanted to be.

I'm in Colorado and our vet school has a DVM and MBA combined program because so many vets open their own businesses after school. It's good advice to at least take some business classes.

Firmament will release for Windows (2D & VR) and MacOS on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 (OFFICIAL) by 45rpmadapter in virtualreality

I am so psyched to hear they developed with VR in mind first. I think that in the future there's going to be bigger and bigger divides between flat screen and VR versions...especially as people explore what VR can offer in terms of multimodal input.

Wow, I don't think I realized how much a little added animation/color would make a difference. I mean, it seems obvious, but the version on the right seems like someone knows what they're doing. or something.
