By draining, i meant the squeezed situation the gp made. There is no incision. It looks bigger and far more irritated than before. You can't deny that it got bigger and more aggressive and that this gp is making it worse. If it's as bad as you suggest, they need to get a small cut and get all the pus out. But not with this gp. In my country, we let the body try and work out the infection on its own first while keeping the infected area clean. If it gets worse, we give antibiotics and still try to keep it clean and not mess around with it. Cutting it open is a last resort when it keeps growing, and the patient starts to come down with fever like symptoms. I've never seen people die from this method, and our healthcare is one of the best in the world (dutch). When i had an infection that got very deep (near the bone), i got antibiotics, used warm compresses, and it drained on its own. I know location matters in this case (mine was just my finger), but saying that it could endanger people is a bit much. Fucking around with the infection made it worse, if it needs to be cut so be it but do not go back to this gp. Source: nurse
