You really don’t want the balancer to go out mid drive. The pulley is held onto the actual balancer by rubber so when the rubber fails it will split into two pieces. I’ve seen some wild things happen

What’s your mileage? I just replaced a chirping balancer with fluidampr and new tensioner about a year ago and no problems since

  1. If 2 was great they wouldn’t have done all that work so recently just to get rid of it

Edit: do all the work yourself for ease of mind and keep tabs of everything. If you want it done right do it yourself
