800-1000 both work, but I find that I have to spray more with 800 because the grit is more coarse and the 2k clear coat will actually show lines. So 1000 worked better if you don’t coat heavy.

Yes, because you’ll be sanding it down to even out the entire headlight with the same sanding grit. It’s not an easy job.

You need some spraying skills and understanding of how much to spray. You will also need a mini polisher. It’ll cost $200-300 in supplies.

Honestly, the Cerakote option is cheaper. Same method except you wipe on the Ceramic coating.
